You beat me to it. I can also attest to the effectiveness of Schwalbe Marathons. Great in all conditions, not too heavy, and puncture-proof as it gets. Additionally, the retro reflective stripe is incredible for night time visibility. Best in class everyday tire, easily.
Those tires look pretty slick, OP, I know money doesn’t grow on trees but please consider it as a safety measure.
That’s actually not a tire in the photo- it’s the basement floor. I took the picture after digging out the piece of glass out of my tire. My actual tires look pretty similar to this
Ahhhhh my bad fam! Yeah regular tires like that are perfectly fit for use. It’s definitely quite nice for quality of life rolling around with puncture resistant tires, whenever the time to swap comes! I always have puncture anxiety lol.
I bought the bike used but the tires it came with are pretty pristine. Would hate to have to buy new ones already. If this becomes a regular occurrence, I might have to swap out at least the tire on the rear wheel though. I might also start carrying a patching kit and one of those electric mini bike pumps in my backpack
Also it looks like local shops don’t stock 26 x 2.0
Those CO2 cannisters are lighter than the pump and can be used in a pinch if necessary.
No need to rush out and get Marathons, but they might be worth getting as your next tyres. Stores can get them in easy if you ask, or keep an eye out online and get some on sale.
I have a more general one that’s a bit big to carry around on a bike, but I have seen those smaller ones from Trek. A lot more expensive than my Xiaomi 1S though
I’m sorry this happened, comrade. It’s time to join the cult of Schwalbe Marathons, if you haven’t already

Those battery-powered bike pumps can be really tiny, like less than 200 grams tiny.

On AliExpress they’re 40 bucks or less
