The reaction to her post reminds me why I have actively avoided discussing I/P [Israel/Palestine] online for the last year in a half.

Wow so fucking brave of you

. It’s so obviously a trap for leftists - we’re completely unable to impact the conflict in any meaningful way, so instead it’s performative purity tests online for clout. It’s perfect in that sense - there’s no cost to staking out an insane position because, at the end of the day, it won’t impact the conflict at all, just get you clout.

Absolutely fuck off. It’s not like pro Palestine activists aren’t getting doxxed, sacked, kicked out of uni, beaten, and deported.

Also if they sincerely believe that then just say it. Like liberals who think they’re leftist seem to believe 2 things:

      1. Nothing anyone has ever done has helped the cause for Palestine. Protests irrelevant. Comments online? Totally pointless. Direct action? Somehow the most pointless.

      2. It’s just a purity test for left points

Ok so say genocide bad. You say you want leftists to like you and claim there is a easy way to get them to do so that has no effect on the world. But they won’t even say that… As if they actually don’t believe atleast one if not both points above…

It’s not a trap for leftists at all. Leftists actually find it incredibly easy to navigate this issue and find the correct stance.

God tbh I’m so over the term “left/leftist”. Either you’re an anticapitalist/anti imperialist or you’re the enemy, or at best a useful idiot for the enemy.

Ya, no one was complaining when they called themselves liberals. At least communist, socialist, or anarchist demonstrates an actual rejection of the Actually Existing Capitalism hell that everyone is suffering with now.

The comments in r/breadtube about it are kinda surprisingly good. I even peeked at a few other related posts, and they were similarly pretty good. The libs still think they have a soapbox to stand on, but the tide definitely seems to have turned for more and more people with any kind of progressive slant. One thread included mentions of 2nd Thought, Deprogram, and pushback on the use of ‘tankie’. Lib smugness is increasingly becoming a liability in the context of everyday reality.

As a leftist, what pisses me off about other pro palenstine leftists is the utter dogmatic approach to Palenstine that they have, like, holy shit they do not care about anything else, but they’ll also refuse to do anything meaningful about it. Trump is so much worse than Kamala will ever be in a thousand lifetimes, but “oh no, I cant vote for genocide!” As if they’ll be sent straight to hell for voting. They’ll throw everything away if it means they get a +1 on their morality chart

I’m so frustrated with liberals who don’t understand it was Harris who was supposed to make her policy clear. If Harris was supposed to be so much better than Trump, especially in regards to Palestine, she should have made that evident to voters, including ambivalent voters. Except she ran a campaign that was primarily about begging for rich donors since no one thought she would win.

You don’t signal how much better you are than the opposition by gaining, then bragging about, the endorsement of fucking Dick Cheney. Do liberals just not remember this guy? He’s pure evil, one of the most extensive lists of war crimes and death can be levied upon him. He’s possibly the largest architect of death of the 21st century so far. It would be like the Beach Boys bragging about how good their music is because they’re pals with Charles Manson.

Liberals, just admit you don’t care about Palestinian people and you have no values at all. Or admit you’re gullible and somehow sincerely believed Harris would somehow stop the genocide she was actively perpetrating.

Better on genocide? She was literally VP to the president actively aiding that genocide while saying nothing about it

Better on immigration? She gave a fucking speech where she acted all though and told immigrants “do not come.” How many did Biden deport?

Better on being a warhawk? She gave a fucking speech about wanting us to have the world’s deadliest military!

She doesnt even pull the obama trick of “promising to close guantanamo and then when elected somehow forgot about it” She just straight up thought bringing that war criminal Dick Cheney daughter to sponsor her to get “moderate republicans” vote was good idea, never mind that the moderate republicans prefer a 99.9% hitler over 99.89% hitller.

Libs are just mad that we actually care about things and do actions as a result of caring about things. It’s something that they all wish they could do but they’re too cowardly to even consider, so instead they just get mad at us for it.

They’re mad because they’re narcissists who think they’re the most virtuous people on the planet and their worldview is shattered when they are being confronted by people who actually dedicate every fiber of their being to this.

It’s very virtuous to spend your entire life complaining about how people care about things, actually. Complaining about people caring about things is more important than actually caring about things and doing real action because it’s more civil to just complain

Funny thing for smug “shut up about palestine libs” radlibs, is that christian zionists are your primary predators, you fucking political worms. The fuck you think trans banning evas think about palestine? or what do the deporting-assisting palantir thinks of pisrael? Maybe they think that vets+police+ice are different from idf? or that direct action of houthis should be instructional, not deplorable?

Also, the single issue voter is the only thing that works, fucking ahistorical dipshits. Anti-abortion activists were ready to torch anyone against, them not vote for rino and sit out elections. brexiteers and farage were ready to torch conservatives on the altar of their incomprehensible shit. in two party system only brinkmanship works, compromise is the tool of euro centrist coalitions, not casino of binary voting patterns where there is only win or lose.

It’s a genocide when their favorite slop creator hasn’t given their pretentious holier than thou take but after that it becomes a “complex issue” that they seem to understand much better than anyone else.

Redditors in r/SRD can somewhat agree on calling out Ethel Cain for being racist in the past (which I kinda agree with) and then turn around support one of the most genocidal regime in the 21st century for no other reason than being the “real adults”. Like whats the point of being “woke” when you support genocide? “UMM sure zionism bad but resisting occupation is bad” They dont want change, they dont want palestine to be free, they just want palestinians to only be victims to be pitied (unless they resist in which case its okay for israel to kill them somehow) and then make movies where zionists express “regret” 15 years later.

They are not even being fucking consistent about the pacifism because lets be honest I doubt they gave a shit if a Ukrainian civilian decides to kill Russians.

People who don’t read or do research, refuse to listen others who do, default to some bs talking point straight out of hasbara….and they continue to pretend they know what they’re talking about so they can brow beat one side while claiming to be neutral.

    SHUT UP. MORON.
