Silicon Valley has sold the idea of tech in classrooms for years, because they get access to lifelong customers and valuable data. But while corporations like Google make billions, student test scores are falling.
I’m not sure why people choose Youtube as their platform to criticise big tech like Google.
Using an alternative means you’d only reach people who already know the problems with big tech.
You need to reach people where they are to have any chance at giving them new information
At the very least mirror it to/from an alternative in case the Empire strikes (back)

Maybe that’s where people are who need the information the most?
Big tech just following the indoctrination program of Big religion; get the kids before they’re able to think for themselves.

Sure, but it’s the difference between a few who are able to pierce the veil of their indoctrination, vs a large majority who retain the early childhood conditioning through the rest of their lives. If nothing else, it creates a steady dissonance that ultimately only serves to make life and/or living feel less innately enjoyable and more like livestock in a predatory system from which we cannot escape. All so that the same small group of ultra rich can further their wealth and influence.
If we had a functioning government, they would have regulated the corporate landscape decades ago, but instead we’ve all been forced to labor under and increasing marginalization, while the ROI of our efforts yields less and less. Hardly seems sustainable.
They’ll replace God for the religious.

I am opposed to the way its being used but also opposed to banning it. I think schools should teach how to use it responsibly, not lock people into the Google environment.

It’s a decades old tactic. First employed by Apple, to create “life-long Apple customers”.
