I bought a bunch of the dlc and I’d forgotten how to play oh my God this game
My gameplay loop:
I’m gonna try to really figure this game out this time.
oh yeah, we’re expanding our influence
heh, my fleet is coming along nicely.
first contact: “Die xeno scum”
I am killed

I play on easy mode with a huge galaxy and like 6 bots. By the time I have to fight it’s usually way too easy which is fun.
I’m 40 with a job and a shitload of organizing to do. I can’t have a months long play get ruined at the end.
Just got the DLC that allows for the ‘Shared Burdens’ feature to make a more proper communist empire. After having played two games where I lost pretty handily to the crisis, I finally understand how the economy works and am on my third go. Funnily enough, I started right next to a system named Sol, with appropriate humans inhabiting, and I’ve had fun playing around with that: my first go through with that save I tried to let them be their own thing, this time I just took over.
I have over 700h in Stellaris. Wanna give it a go soon again. 4.3 seems to have been a pretty succesful reboot of the economy.
I only play it on easy and never figured out the economy
Stellaris is the only paradox game I can get into, because I don’t have to start with an entire already existing state

Just explore stuff and attack early, every metal not spent on building fleet is a metal going to some useless healthcare (it also gives influence to build bases, so it’s still good idea to go to 20/40 ships immediately, even if you trying to peace out)
Also gestalt robots is the coziest play, cause your guys don’t change
Also my latest play is as robots and I know nothing. Tips welcome.
I always found that creating your civ was really exciting and then it went downhill from there lol
