Serious question - what the hell am I looking at?
There’s a cottage industry of cranks online that believe space is fake, it bleeds into flat earth, with the overarching narrative that nasa fakes all these space missions.
What does that have to do with Nutella?
A jar of Nutella rotated into view on a Artemis feed. Everyone saying it was a 100 million dollars of free advertising and I got this screen grab from a reply guy.
I thought it was a joke about their toilet 😆
They still have a few days left in space and nutella doesn’t have a lot of insoluble fiber in it. Stay tuned
No idea
Me when I make up a multi-billion dollar industry and its associated research papers, testing, satellites, education opportunities, and entrepreneurship because I’m bored and you seem gullible

But. It’s floating.
I thought the jar rolled on the ground or something and they were saying that proves there’s gravity on the studio set, because they’re just in front of a greenscreen on Earth. If it’s floating, though, then… what? The studio intentionally put it in the shot?
Okay. But. They could have done that in space! Yeah, maybe the Nutella is a plant for advertising, but that doesn’t prove it’s all fake! That just implies there’s some kind of graft going on and they wanted this branded product to be shown in space.
Do they think you can only eat alien food in space? What’s even their claim?
The moon is fake, space is fake, it’s actually a celestial sea, god is the sun which is inside the concave earth, wake up sheeple!
this took me back.
i used to sub to a community of people that shared woo-asmr vid links, 99% of which were cranks.
one of the better ones was this guy who would mumble to himself while drawing diahrams of the “real” world which was the whole concave thing where the sun is inside a hollow earth with us and there’s a layer of ice in the “sky” and where all the powerful people are going via elevator. just high octane Bananatown stuff. he also used to draw his own sigil/design of an amulet he was making to protect him and his followers from the beast.
he apparently was in and out of jail for violent threats against public figures.
his “name” was Lord Steven Christ.
Conspiracy theories are a great source to mine for fantasy/sci-fi worldbuilding
Terry Pratchett made a whole ass career off of that
I know exactly the video your talking about and that’s my post lmao, yeah woo asmr on reddit, great source for nighttime asmr videos. I think that guy died or something not too long ago.
Nutella spot? What does this means?
A jar of Nutella rotated into view on a Artemis feed
Ok, they’re on space so the logical conclusion is that they eat alien food.
Classic bit; I never knew they did this one on Conan. I still drop “humor-joke” in casual conversation and NO ONE EVER HAS ANY IDEA WHAT THE FUCK I AM ON ABOUT.
Edit: It doesn’t help that I’ve never encountered someone else in-person who was both a UCB fan and a DS9 fan, so saying “hew-mon humor-joke” (
) really doesn’t land often enough.I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
I assumed this is a photo from mid-shoot on a nutella commercial. Is that not true? Are we supposed to recognize these people? Because I sure don’t, and assumed they were random actors acting in a random commercial
They must think astronauts only eat these things:

Or it’s the usual conspiracy theory thing where one hog declares “conspiracy” and the rest nod in agreement and will look at video artefacting and compression for hours to find a spot where their goes blurry or something and declare the conspiracy correct, all without doing the most basic of research like finding out what kind of things astronauts bring into space with them, or even the most basic understanding of other people like “do astronauts like to be a bit silly sometimes or make mistakes like regular people.” Easiest way to spot a conspiracy theory is to see if they treat the people involved like people, or treat it like they’re watching a movie and the camera just focused on something as the big clue for their mentally 12 year old audience to notice.
grok generate me a video of the nutella on the spaceship but this time the jar is open!
