i suspect that it’s bending the knee to buy the time to bolster weapons and support so that they can attack again when they’re more capable of waging the war.
They already tried to do that between last summer and now and it still failed. Even ifnyhey took years to bolster themselves, Iran will only be developing their defensive capabilities further without sanctions overhead.
The empire was forced to cave because thwybare out of options, I think Iran is happy for them to open the conflict again (but would prefer to just be left alone).
Curious to see if the US can keep Israel from violating the agreement. I have a doubt, but you never know.
It seems like the agreement might not even directly involve Israel at all, Iran is giving the US the choice of either keeping the straights open (and the money flowing) or defending Israel from the consequences of their own actions. Seems pretty obvious which one the US will pick.
