that presentation is a mess, if that hasn’t been touched by the customer that plating is shameful

price is probably out of whack as well

Hey now, no need to take shots at Oklahoma’s food. There are plenty of things that suck here, but the food is pretty decent.

Counter offer, my birthday dessert last night:

Edit: If banana bread pudding was on the menu I would have had that instead though still.

Edit edit: wtf you are +50 for me on Voyager and I almost never see someone higher than +6 so that’s interesting.

      That looks delicious!

Also, what are you talking about +50? I’m in Voyager too, am I missing something kind of feature?

Yeah you are! Settings > user tags > track votes

It lets you see your running total of up and down votes for users you’ve voted on in the past. Can be helpful to guide who you interact with (in case of trolls, which you can also just tag as a troll) or what walls of text you might want to read or not.

        Good luck!

    I’m interested in the process.

In my neck of the woods, a bread pudding is made from bread that’s mixed with eggs and milk (also sugar, but there are such things as savory bread puddings that don’t have that), then baked until custardy and awesome. You can add things to that, but that’s the basic process.

The name (because of the above) of it implies that someone took banana bread, broke it up, and used it to make a bread pudding. But it looks like something that was made in a different way because the top and sides are shaped like something baked in a form of some kind and risen over the edges.

I’m confident that a banana bread pudding the way I’m familiar with would be yummy. I’m also confident that some other process using the basic ingredients of banana bread would also be yummy. What I’m not confident in is what the texture would be like if it isn’t the kind of bread pudding I’m familiar with.

It was definitely made a different way, all in one piece. I had very similar questions to yours, unfortunately I didn’t ask them. But it was delicious.

        then don’t do that

it’s ok to do seasonal and regional

i’d be much more impressed by that then ‘fancy’ presentation processed food

if it tasted good i’d give it a pass though

also I really hope that’s not hapa as in Hawaiian for half

why is overpriced generic ‘fusion’ food so popular in the US

because the name of the restaurant is mixing sushi with hapa

bet it’s in a strip mall ( after looking it up it’s worse, it’s the new mixed use yuppie fad)

“Hapa” is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian & American cultures.

Thus, our menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they’re Hapa.
