I’m slowly trying Fridays into pizza night. On the left is my wife’s standard pepperoni olive and a banana pepper. On the right is my first try pimento stuffed green, olive and sardine.
Again, the base cost is $2.77 for the base pizza, plus whatever the toppings are. I’m buying pepperoni at $2.99 for 3 pounds. You’d be lucky to get more than a couple of ounces on a February pizza. S. The sardines were free… all together you’re looking at less than $0.60 in toppings per Pizza.

I’ll indulge once in a while, but it gets intense past 1 slice.
I love me some sardines. I use them to bait cat traps because they are a stinky umami bomb that cats can’t resist. I get to eat any leftovers.
So it that cat pepperoni from your trappings on the left?
Of course not. Cat is way too lean to be used as a cured meat.
Why are you trapping cats? Are they tasty?
I trap them so they can get their reproductive ability destroyed, cut off the tip of an ear, and also give them some antibodies for things like rabies. Then, after some wait time for recovery, I drop them off where I found them so they can live out their lives.
Thank you for your service!
I am from the internet. I’m here to help.
That’s delightfully wholesome. You’re a good meatbag ❤️

Ah, like RFK Jr with raccoons (joking)
I myself love anything that pushes me to intensity. Whether it’s peaty scotch, sardines, rich dark chocolate
Your pizzas always look fabulous, but I really want to introduce your wife to some better olives. If you ever get the chance to pick up some kalamata or ligurian olives, be sure to try them out, but you’ll probably want to reduce the quantity you add, because they have a lot of flavor.
Black olives are one of the food victims of industrial farming. It’s difficult to find the ones that are actually black from natural ripening instead of processing to look ripe, but they taste very different.
I’m not messing with her comfort food. But I agree.
I used to stock kalamata all the time but they haven’t been in the budget for some time.
Very fair, on both counts.
Gonna just say your wife’s pizza choices are divine, and your pizzas look heavenly.

That’s nowhere even close to enough pepperoni.
There is a delicate balance between browning the cheese and preventing that with too much pepperoni.
I’m not going to speak on the toppings but pizza should be round. Pizza that is rectangular is just wrong. 😋 I mean it to be funny and light hearted, don’t actually take offense.
It’s cool. Everyone of a certain age has bad memories about rectangular pizzas. But I don’t have two round pizza pans and this allows me to cook two at the same time.
Ok, I’ll agree with that. As long as you agree ny over Chicago pizza?
All in good fun but I moved from NY/NJ to Texas and I miss real pizza…
Your terms cause me no hesitation at all. Of course NY/NJ is best.
Great! Still trying to get a good dough though, thin dough but not crispy. I want to pick up a slice with 2 fingers under and one centered over the slice then fold it and eat it side ways as grease runs down my arm…
I keep forgetting I can just make pizza until I see a pizza! Looks good!
