I never realized how fascist the Tennessee flag looks until it flashed in this video.
I’ve seen that flag some many times and that thought never crossed my mind. But your comment got me curious about the origins of its design and, well, the designer’s choice of mustache paired with (I’m assuming) his National Guard uniform was…unfortunate.
It’s based on the civil war tennessee battle flag. Yes, that flag.
Which one? TN was represented by several different regments in the war on both sides. If you’re referencing the stars and bars, that was a virgina regiment’s flag.
