You know that’s just bullshit marketing because when has a corporation ever held off on making money just because it would be a threat to the planet? They’re turning climate change up to an 11 for the current models, why would they suddenly care what impact this model would have?
You’ve got to give anthropic some credit on that front - they’ve refused immoral money before (see the Pentagon declaring them a supply chain risk). Anthropic also has a vested interest in keeping these open source softwares secure, seeing as anthropic themselves use the software that would be vulnerable
