I recall a lot of people dismissed and disparaged her, but it’s now pretty clear that her motives were always genuine. It’s quite telling how liberals turned away from her as soon as it turned out she had meaningful things to say.

I met Thunberg several years ago, right after her Friday protest thing started getting big media attention. It was completely unrelated to any climate stuff, but instead a chance encounter through some autism advocacy groups. She seemed like she had a good head on her shoulders, and she was picking up what I was putting down when I dropped a couple leftist dogwhistles.
I’m glad she grew up into being a real one.
