Unable to defeat the Soviets in direct battles, the Nazis resorted to… checks notes… um, continuing to lose while crying about their racially superior military strategy.

Franz Halder’s writings helped popularize the “human wave” myth, a false narrative depicting the Red Army as an unthinking mass of “Asiatic hordes” winning through sheer numbers rather than operational skill. This idea originated as wartime Nazi propaganda and self-serving postwar memoirs by German generals seeking to excuse their defeat and shield the Wehrmacht’s reputation.

After World War II, Halder was cheif consultant to the U.S. Army Historical Division, directing German generals to write official histories of the Eastern Front.

These memoirs consistently blamed Adolf Hitler for military failures while framing the German military as professionally superior, attributing their losses to an endless, faceless Soviet multitude

The fact that NATO doctrine has been largely designed by nazis who lost the war and were trying to make themselves look good will never stop being hilarious. The whole war in Ukraine is basically history repeating as a farce with western reliance on wunderwaffe and treating Russians as untermensch.

Julian Röpcke complaining to the Romans about how they keep failing to prevent Hannibal from encircling them with the treacherous pincer maneuver.

Shit I think even Sun Tzu wrote about pincer maneuvers. This might literally be the oldest trick in the book.

As everyone knows, the only valid way to win a war is to prove your masculinity by confronting the enemy in direct battles as much as possible. If you win by attrition, you have proven you are the bigger man (which is the only purpose of conducting warfare). If you lose, you have to receive noogies from the other army.

    Ukr military strategists:

Why does water, electricity and enemy forces always take the path of least resistance? This is such a strange and unexpected phenomenon that is counter to everything we know about how the world is supposed to work!

Years of research and billions spent, and we have yet to discover how to counter their devilish doing-more-than-one-thing maneuver
