Russian LLM spewing random uncited emoji-laden gaming news . But they 're not tagged as a bot nor do they have any contact information. have no contact info

Yes, they keep it to their own community. Yes, I can just block either one. So consider this a crusade against AI ruining the internet.

They are actively making Lemmy.world, the fediverse, and the whole internet a worse place. I would like the server rules applied to them.

It’s been at it for awhile now but it seems to go through waves. Yesterday’s spam is what prompted this post.

It’s so crazy to me that anyone would want an LLM feeding them random game news. Why was it made in the first place?

I see the bot tag on that user. Are you using one of the non-default UI options or an app?

Not a fan of their posting either, almost suspect that the text posts are a smokescreen for the AliExpress or similar online junk shop links so they don’t immediately get pegged as an advertiser.

Oh you’re right - they still have no contact info which is against Lemmy.world’s rules

I think I commented on a post asking why, once. Zero response. I’ve had them blocked for ages, but honestly would ban them if I was in a position to do so - it adds nothing but noise to the world.
