Depends on the pistol, some of them have a magazine disconnect that prevents the pistol from being fired when there’s no magazine in it.
Regardless, even if you’re carrying, it’s dumb to advertise it. It’s dumb to carry without having a magazine loaded (one bullet is unlikely to be useful, even if something comes up) and it’s dumb to have an open carry non-retention holster.

Who took the picture? It looks like a someone was behind someone who was open carrying, and took a surreptitious photo. Did this guy hand his phone to the person in line behind him, and tell him to take the picture so he could post it on social media?
Or did he find that photo somewhere, and claimed it was him? Or maybe it was just a joke, that someone took seriously?
Hot take: we shouldnt be okay with people taking non-consentual photos. Unless they are commiting a crime or they just happen to be in the background of a photo focused elsewhere, most people dont deserve this. I dont know why this has become so normal. I dont care that noones face is in this, its genuinely creepy for them to pull out thier phone and snap a picture of his and the wife’s asses for the sake of calling them a loser.
