In short, they name harmful US policies and actions, and the proposal is that usians should stop electing shallow people and start electing more virtuous ones, thereby averting the US’ terminal unraveling. No mention of labor’s leverage or other potential forms of internal resistance besides protests. No materialism found, want the time I spent reading it back.

Taking the document at its word seems kind of reductive. Ultimately it’s a propaganda piece. Its utility to the Iranian state is to raise doubts and embolden internal resistance to the war.

Even if it’s true, it’s not going to call the burgers wilfully ignorant, treat addled hogs bereft of human empathy.

Re: not mentioning labour organising - the Iranian revolution is not a socialist one, why are we surprised they don’t rationalise the world as we do. And in any case, worker power is organised on the ground.

It would make sense to shout out actual militant organisations if such existed, to give them political leverage at home. But the militant left is a non-factor in American politics, so they’re not talking to them

It was still a good read regardless of their poorly informed advice. I liked seeing the direct perspectice of the Iranian state. I esecially found their description of Mossadegh as an Americanophile interesting and want to look into that claim.

I think the targets of this letter are like liberal academics and journalists, or maybe weiners working at the state department who are ghouls but otherwise skeptical of Trump and Hegseth.

I’m not sure that’s the only solution they suggest, they talk about how through the Islamic Revolution they were able to take control of their nation, they suggest the US people do the same and say they are willing to help the US people if they want to do that. I think it does at least hint at the idea of a popular revolution.

I really wish this fictional version of America would die in the heads of people from the global south, shit is straight up a memetic virus at this point

My only consolation is that this delusion only infects global south boomers and Gen Xers, cause young people have to be savvy to the true nature of this country and how its not gonna get better

American forces are intellectually and morally hollow, and consequently, when the U.S. military is confronted by an able opponent, it is shamefully incompetent—a paper tiger, if you will.

IRGC gives American’s too much credit. Inflicting unconditional suffering on Americans should the corner-stone of any good ideology. We must gently coax all American’s into the Omela’s basement with unending torrents of drones and rockets, and then build communism on top of it.
