The Major Oak in England’s Sherwood Forest, famously associated with the legend of Robin Hood, was declared dead in June 2026 after failing to produce leaves that spring.
Estimated to be around 1,000 years old, it will remain in the forest as a natural monument, continuing to provide habitat for wildlife even in death.
To be a pedant, that is the omen, you don’t prepare for an omen, you prepare for the disaster the omen portends.
Inflation so bad even the omens require an additional omen these days.
Is this some really shitty marketing for that high jack man death of Robin Hood movie
thank you for your service

I’m sure it’s fineIt’s cool that they are gonna leave it there to do its job as a dead tree.
: “Preserve western civilization! But not the land itself, that would be very inconvenient for poor porky!”“We didn’t land on Sherwood Forest; Sherwood Forest landed on us!”
No tights-based redistribution of wealth system??
Fine, but they better use that wood the French way now, for poetic legacy reasons.

The omen is that the spirit of Robin Hood can no longer control the bourgeoisie.
We need our own, new Robin Hood now.
