I’m getting deja vu. I remember something like this happening a year or two ago, but not enough about it to find it by search terms.
I think it was something to do with a claimed internet outage in Moscow and a supposed simultaneous traffic on certain subreddits. But the traffic data actually showed no correlation and the outage was isolated to a small town in Russia or something.
