So who could the Republicans get to illegally vote for them? Russian agents? Maybe they bus around bunch die hards to go place to place attending rallies and voting in every location they can.

What’s interesting about them, and by interesting, I mean batshit stupid, is that they’ll be happy to take the credit in discussions about how non-voting sends a message to the establishment parties, but they become instant victims the moment the conversation becomes about how they helped trump to the throne.

And here’s where it gets funny:

All the credit; none of the blame. Who does that remind you of?

While I agree with the sentiment, protest non-voting is already tantamount to infighting. This comment is just pointing fingers to set blame on another, which is stupid. But at the same time, calling for protest non-voters to unify with the rest of us should be the goal. That is the opposite of infighting. That’s not exactly what OP was doing, but that is the remedy.

communism by definition can’t exist until the entire world’s working class unites against (or to produce an alternative to the system of) the banks and nations. I believe that their definition of socialist is anything (they perceive to be) headed in that direction. Sorry if that doesn’t help

You might want to check that election data again because Trump would have won with or without Harris receiving those “protest votes.” If you want to blame someone for this mess, blame the party leaders who put their thumb on the scale to foist the absolute worst possible candidates on us three presidential elections in a row. This is the result of those party leaders trying to straddle the line of serving the same corporate donors that Republicans do while pretending to stand for "the people "

To me, you don’t sound any different than a Republican sycophant who puts party over everything and still supports Trump. You’re literally blaming everyone except for the people running the party who picked the losing candidate, the losing candidate, and the people running her losing campaign. In your eyes, only the party is right and everyone else is wrong. This was nearly the third time in a row they tried this losing strategy and lost, but go on and keep telling us how right they are/were.

Harris also had zero path to victory, and yet here you are acting self-righteous like your choice was the correct one even though it gave Trump the win. To use your own analogy, you are the drunk driver who totaled your car in 2016 and 2024, but narrowly made it home once in 2020 so you want to convince us that you’re “good to drive.”

It is that easy! It’s not like progressives and leftists are sandbagged by the “vote blue no matter who” Dems right?

          https://www.newsweek.com/democrats-skewered-republicans-funding-these-maga-losers-1758128

It’s not like the Dems sabatoged Bernie, twice, right? Vote in the primaries, it’s that easy

They wouldn’t sabotage PROGRESSIVES to help REPUBLICANS AND CENTRISTS if you voted in the primaries “The DCCC released opposition research against progressive candidate Laura Moser in Texas and pressured progressive challengers out of races in Colorado, Pennsylvania, and California to support centrist or well-funded establishment candidates.” https://inthesetimes.com/features/dccc_left_progressive_challengers_laura_moser_campaign_finance.html

“In Nebraska’s 2nd District, the DCCC lent a hand to Brad Ashford—a former Republican who favors abortion restrictions—at the expense of his more progressive primary challenger Kara Eastman, who supports reproductive rights, Medicare for All and other progressive policies. Over in Virginia’s 2nd, the DCCC swung in early behind businesswoman Elaine Luria, a military veteran who twice voted for her Republican opponent, over Karen Mallard, a union member who supports a $15 minimum wage and universal healthcare.”

Same source as above and there way more.

So it seems pretty simple, Dems can tell anyone they want to fuck off (except fellow centrists and Republicans), while the rest of us are automatically MAGA if we don’t support “blue no matter who” despite constant opposition and disdain from a party that hates us because they are RIGHT WING

Wrong and conveniently ignored everything else.

20,000 emails from seven senior DNC officials, including Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz disagrees with you. The correspondence revealed that party leadership privately favored Hillary Clinton and discussed strategies to undermine Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign, such as questioning his religious faith and dismissing his campaign manager Jeff Weaver as a “liar.”

              https://www.reuters.com/article/world/democratic-national-committee-apologizes-to-sanders-over-emails-idUSKCN1052BN/

They admitted it was sabotage and formally apologized. The disclaimer that the emails didn’t “reflect the views of the DNC” is hard to swallow since it was 20,000 emails from leadership.

the Obama White House and Senate leadership, coordinated to suppress Sanders to prevent him from facing Donald Trump. Allegations include limiting debate appearances, media blackouts, and the strategic withdrawal of rival candidates to consolidate votes behind Joe Biden in 2020. Elizabeth Warren and former DNC Chair Donna Brazile have acknowledged the 2016 primary was “rigged” against Sanders.

              https://time.com/4362402/how-president-obama-will-pressure-bernie-sanders/

Examples of the DNC / party establishment opposing progressive candidates in elections:

The DCCC blacklisted any consultant who worked with progressive candidates. Marie Newman lost four consultants within a month.

              1. DSCC / Senate Majority PAC 2020 Primaries Spent $15M+ to help moderate candidates defeat progressive primary challengers.

              2. Nina Turner vs. Shontel Brown (OH-11, 2020) Biden and Clyburn intervened to back corporate-friendly Brown over progressive Turner, with help from a pro-Israel super PAC.

              3. Jessica Cisneros vs. Henry Cuellar (TX-28, 2022) Pelosi, Clyburn, and other House leaders backed Cuellar (under FBI investigation) over progressive challenger Cisneros. AOC called it “an utter failure of leadership.”

              4. DCCC Endorses Bains over Villegas (CA-22, 2026) DCCC endorsed centrist Bains over progressive Villegas. The Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC called it “undemocratic.”

              5. Michigan Senate Primary (2026) Establishment-backed Haley Stevens vs. progressive Abdul El-Sayed drew $58.6M in super PAC spending, mostly against El-Sayed. AOC personally transferred $1M to help. Pressley called the DSCC’s spending “shameful.”

              6. Colorado Primary (2026) National Democrats injected $2.4M via super PACs against progressive challenger Kiros to protect incumbent DeGette.

              7. DCCC Spending Disparity (2018) DCCC spent $340K on progressive Rob Quist (MT) vs. millions for centrist John Ossoff (GA). A DCCC-commissioned report discouraged members from campaigning on Medicare for All.

              8. Team Blue PAC (2022) Hakeem Jeffries co-founded an explicitly anti-progressive PAC to protect establishment incumbents.

They will never understand this simple fact. There either weren’t enough Bernie supporters in the first place or far too many stayed home for the primary. And very nearly every Bernie voter in the primary went for Hillary in the general. There wasn’t a conspiracy, progressives just don’t vote. If they did, we’d have a progressive democratic party.

the federal government sent election officials in Los Angeles County an unverified list of 20,000 people it claims are “likely noncitizens” registered to vote in California. […] federal agents used the list to make the more than two dozen targeted arrests on the basis of its voter fraud allegations. […] The 11 arrestees are among 28 people the department officially charged—and all are from its list of 20,000 targets in the election. The press release claims that every person targeted is a legal permanent resident of the US but not a citizen.

    No words.

“Every illegal vote cancels out the vote of a lawful American citizen,”

So it’s the Great Replacement Theory applied to voting.

We’ve seen this same story play out in Nevada.

      https://www.techdirt.com/2026/10/01/dhss-nevada-illegal-voter-claims-have-dropped-from-16000-to-200-to-zero-in-less-than-a-month/

They claim huge numbers, but when it’s time to provide the evidence, they come up empty handed. That’s why we are seeing the show of force with cameras and the media blitz. To create the perception of voter fraud to hide the fact that actual voter fraud is rare.

We know their numbers are bullshit too via Propublica:

HSI’s involvement in the hunt for election fraud traces at least to summer 2025, when agency supervisors embraced a proposal from a midlevel agent who’d publicly echoed Trump’s claims about elections. He argued the agency’s powerful databases and tools could find noncitizens even on the voter lists that states make publicly available, from which the most confidential information has been redacted. Under Trump, the Justice Department had collected many public voter rolls as part of a controversial effort to compel states to turn over the unredacted versions.

Those searches went forward, ProPublica’s reporting shows, helping to generate tens of thousands of leads regarding illegal voting across the country. But when HSI agents were sent to investigate them, the results were similar to what Teirab reported from Minnesota.

Between January 2025 and May 2026, a ProPublica analysis of Justice Department data shows, fewer than 150 alleged noncitizen voters were referred for prosecution. Even fewer — 41 — were charged with voting illegally or other election-related crimes. (More than 150 million people voted in the most recent presidential election.)

There’s an array of reasons why Trump’s campaign to document claims of widespread voter fraud hasn’t succeeded. Most obviously, it’s exceedingly rare, as countless studies and state audits have found. Noncitizens often get on voter rolls by accident or when government officials make errors. Last month, New Jersey disclosed that a mistake involving its Motor Vehicle Commission caused 6,600 noncitizens to be registered (fewer than 400 voted).

Nevada is weird. Dem and Rep are about the same. Independents out number both are a plurality (ninja edit). Dems dominate Senate and House seats. The governor is a Rep. The state voted Trump, Biden, Clinton, Obama, Obama, Bush, Bush.

          Party Total voters Percentage
          Democratic 569,337 27.61%
          Republican 568,665 27.58%
          Independent American 82,903 4.02%
          Libertarian 13,620 0.66%
          Other parties 30,806 1.49%
          Nonpartisan 796,805 38.64%

“Every illegal vote cancels out the vote of a lawful American citizen,”

Not if they both vote for the same person

On Monday, federal authorities announced the arrest in California of at least 11 people, and charges against 28, alleging they registered to vote as noncitizens.

Whoa! 28 people! That’s essentially zero, statistically speaking, which is exactly what knowledgeable people have been saying for years: that voter fraud is basically non-existent, and that it’s not at all worth spending millions of dollars to combat.

Didn’t they also demand California to not count another 20 000 ballots unless they are all investigated (a practical impossibility in the short time) so it’s a bit more being demanded?

to distract from actual voter fraud the GOP is actually doing. voter suppression, ballot purging, closing count immediately as a gop is in the lead.

And keep in mind that they’ve done nothing to actually verify that A) the people they’ve arrested are not citizens and B) that if they are not, that they actually registered to vote. In their own words, the list is of “likely non-citizens.” So basically, they have a list of people who are permanent residents. If you, a citizen, happen to have the same name as someone on that list, and you’re registered to vote, you are at risk of being arrested. Or, vice versa, if a person on that list has the same name as someone registered to vote, they might get arrested even though they did nothing wrong.

It affects a handful of people directly but it’s intended to intimidate many more.

And given the trump admins current track record of voter fraud cases I expect all 28 cases to go nowhere.

Unfortunately Trump’s base is very cruel, and yes they do enjoy seeing this.

They will scream one minute about abortion, then scream the next about how all the children in Palestine deserve to die.

This is not hyperbole. This is the real politics over here right now, and it’s fucking insane.

They don’t need any more people to vote for them, they just need more people to not vote against them.

No they believe that if they stop everyone who will vote against them from voting, that the handful of die hard supporters will carry the rest. They aren’t trying to motivate the base, they are trying to either arrest or intimidate the opposition.
