Eminem has defended his guest verse on Kid Rock’s new faith-based album, saying a friendship that goes back decades matters more than the political divide between them. “Not about choosing sides, just choosing to make music with my old friend. Praying for all of us,” he wrote on social media hours after Halfway 2 Jesus came out on Friday.

His verse appears on “Heal My Faith,” which isn’t the song he was originally announced for. He was first billed on “7 Sins,” but the tracklist was reshuffled at the last minute, with Lil Wayne taking that song and Eminem moving to “Heal My Faith.” Kid Rock told Billboard they agreed they didn’t need two songs together, joking that otherwise “people are going to think we’re dating.” He also said he “really didn’t want to drag him into my political world,” and that the two talk politics only “a little bit, not a ton.”

People used to get mad when I told the Eminem was a sellout who deserves no respect, hell they still do. But I stand by it and shit like this is why.

He’s always been overrated and kind of pathetic.

He was “feuding” with Britney Spears in 2000… When he was 28 and she was 19.

He was pushing 30 when he wrote

These fuckin’ brats can’t sing and Britney’s garbage
What’s this bitch, r*tarded? Give me back my sixteen dollars!
All I see is sissies in magazines smilin’ (Hee-hee!)
Whatever happened to wilin’ out and bein’ violent?
Whatever happened to catchin’ a good old-fashioned passionate ass-whoopin’
And gettin’ your shoes, coat and your hat tooken?
New Kids on the Block suck a lot of dick
Boy, girl groups make me sick
And I can’t wait 'til I catch all you f*ggots in public
      I’ma love it (Hahaha)

      11-year-olds definitely loved it.

I actually keep going back and thinking “seriously? 28??”

That song came out in 2000, and was recorded between July 1999 and March 2000 (according to Wikipedia). Eminem was born in 1972.

So technically he was probably 27 1/2 when he wrote it, and Britney Spears would have been 18.

Christina Aguilera, too. He called her a bitch and accused her of giving blowjobs to older men because she said out loud who he was legally married to. He was nearly 28, she was 18. Imagine being 27 and insulting high schoolers on your albums, then thinking you’re tough because children love it. That’s Eminem.

He’s always been embarrassing, he’s just been protected by Dr. Dre.

So he also slut-shamed women. That too is misogyny.

It’s always amazed me how much he’s grown as a person since that time of his life.

Looking at all the very problematic celebrities out there and you’re hanging a guy out to dry because he had a rough patch but ultimately turned out to be a pretty decent person?

So what if he made a song with grandpa rock they’re both old detroit artists.

Has he publicly apologized for his bad lyrics and actions, and by apology I mean detailing all his wrongs, why he did them, why it was wrong to do them, apologize, and not expect forgiveness for apologizing—i.e. no “So there, I said I’m sorry. Now deal with it because it’s in the past.”

                wp:Eminem#Personal life

During the 2024 United States presidential election, Eminem publicly endorsed Kamala Harris. In October 2024, he appeared at a rally at Huntington Place in Detroit, where he spoke about the importance of voter turnout in Michigan and voiced support for Harris’s stance on civil liberties and freedom of expression.[397]

However, he should call out Rob Ritchie (“Kid Rock”) for supporting Trump.

I can’t tell which of them you’re trying to insult here… ODB, by nearly all accounts, was not a great guy. Despite being a hip hop legend.

ICP is goofy af, but their fanbase seems to be some of the nicest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet.

Also, every video I’ve seen with the two guys themselves, “out of character” (as much as you’ll ever see them at least), they’ve seemed like genuinely decent dudes. There’s one that comes to mind that they did with GWAR, I think on the Hot Ones yt channel that really made me come around on them.

He’s a POS wholeheartedly, and now makes Christian rap with kid rock. Just a rich white man that the world would be better if he never existed, like a lot of other rich white men.

        FWIW,

The Story Behind Popular ‘Woman Yelling at a Cat’ Meme Was Actually the Result of Abuse

You’ve seen the viral meme — a split-screen of a blonde-haired woman yelling at a white cat making a face in front of a plate of lettuce. The meme has inspired countless laughs, but the story behind the woman in the meme, Taylor Armstrong, has a very difficult origin.

        …

For Armstrong, however, the image of her screaming comes from a 2011 episode in season two of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” During the episode, titled “Malibu Beach Party From Hell,” Armstrong was telling her friends about her experience with domestic violence and abuse by her late ex-husband. Armstrong also revealed after filing for divorce and speaking out about the alleged abuse, her former husband died by suicide.

Another “Housewives” cast member, Camille Grammer, was filmed gossiping with other people about Armstrong’s past, which made Armstrong worry about how her current husband would react. After the other cast members kept trying to minimize Armstrong’s feelings about the gossip with Grammer, it sparked a major fight. The resulting fight led to the image now famous in the Woman Yelling at a Cat meme.

        …

“Thank you – that is my past and I have moved on and am in a really healthy, happy marriage,” Armstrong tweeted. “It doesn’t seem like my life any longer. I work w domestic violence shelters and support victims. It’s ok to laugh at the images that have been created.”

It’s almost like all the people with money aren’t sticking themselves in the same “red vs blue” or “left vs right” boxes that the media keeps suggesting we stay focused on… I wonder if there is a third box filled with all the rich people we should actually be focused on.

It’s not really “red vs blue” or “left vs right”, as much as anti-Trump versus pro-Trump.

If you support Trump, you are either a political moron, a bigot, and/or a 1%er.

If you want to do a duet with Kid Rock, okay, but say it clearly and publicly that Kid Rock is either a political moron, a bigot, and/or a 1%er.
