Guys I had my Truck for less than 350 miles. something happened i cant explain… I was driving like usual and when coming into a turn releasing the accelerator but the speed wasnt reducing… so i pressed the brake… but it didnt engage… until it was too late and i hit a signal light pole, also airbags didnt deploy.

Here are some pics of damage

[the front bumper, bonnet, and driver side panels are fucked. The driver remains the crumple zone]

Regen was working but it was limited it was different than before ( I’m doing a bad job of explaining), hence the application of brakes which also had a delayed feeling. I’m glad to be uninjured 🙏

Feeling a bit sore

Still love the truck though.

The comments seem to mostly be attacking him for having a new account. The shill is spreading FUD, not warning them that the brakes and airbags can spontaneously fail in a turn.

Can they at least change it up a bit? Surely there are other ways to profess your love. Just stop saying the same thing all the other CT owners say you fucking NPCsstop-posting-amogus

Had no idea this forum even existed lmao. Absolutely bizarre to scroll through it and every other post is like “The Cybertruck killed my family and sliced my ankles and also the employees spit in my eye when they delivered it,” inevitably followed by comments along the lines of, “Aw man, I’m still waiting for mine. Lucky!”

    Brain rot.

Sorry to hear this. On the contrary, my Cybertruck saved me the other day by engaging automatic emergency brake when I was distracted for a moment!

    Another good comment:

Tesla isn’t lining any pockets so the lobbyists are practicing some internet gorilla warfare

Gorilla warfare? Never seen that before, but I imagine it’d be pretty scary!

Cyber truck links all systems through a single daisy chained connection instead of the separate dedicated wiring harnesses that traditional automakers use.
    This saves Tesla money.
It’s also why these catastrophic loss of control events will keep happening.

I cannot believe (I totally can) that this moronic company is allowed to just change the behavior of the basic functions of their vehicles with no oversight whatsoever in this godforsaken hellhole. How are they allowed to adjust the acceleration and braking in an OTA update like they’re adding new emoji to my phone’s keyboard. And don’t even get me started on testing the “full self driving (totally not making any promises of the car being able to drive itself)” on open roads.

Do you think “still love the truck though” is like the Tesla owner’s version of “in Minecraft” for people that don’t want Elon Musk to personally/legally harass them?

I guess half the point of having a Tesla/Cybertruck is to be part of a ‘group’ with other Tesla fans. But they’ll be so rabid if you don’t reassure them of your dedication to the almighty suicide truck they’ll tear you to shreds.

There’s the cult aspect and there’s also sunk cost fallacy. NFT guys have that same mentality where they’ll only double down on shitting their pants to prove they didn’t shit their pants but actually it’s SUPER ACTUALLY COOL if they did.

Very true, they’ve reached a point where this scam is their whole personality so they’re far beyond facing that they might have been wrong.

Sometimes I rhyme quick: accelerator pedal malfunction

Sometimes I rhyme slow: brake pedal malfunction

I was on shrooms like two weeks ago, walking around, and saw one of these things hurtling up a street with a playground on one side and a footie pitch & basket ball court on the other, which I’d just passed and there were kids, and I instinctively was like waving to the driver to flag them down or get them to turn a block early

If they had known you were concerned it may have activated their oppositional defiant disorder and decide to drive straight through the playground to demonstrate how it definitely wouldn’t murder any 5 year olds.
