It says a loose adaptation of of the First entry of the series, so that may not be a good sign, but who knows. However I’m of course hoping for Majima Everywhere to be in every episode, which would sell it for me.
Hopefully they get the whitest guys to play the characters. All the names and story are the same, the background characters are all Japanese
Look I liked the Fallout show, but fucking get your own ideas, media
Amazon sucks etc. But apparently because Amazon Prime TV is a loss-leader that Bezos started to try and get laid, the oversight for creators is much less.
So you get genuinely subversive stuff that’s good on it like I’m A Virgo by Boots Riley.
As well as stuff like the Boys, Invincible, Good Omens, The Expanse, Outer Range, Mr and Mrs Smith, Fallout etc that’s not as homogenised as the slop on Netflix (it’s still slop, just with flavor).
Also there’s a bunch of Chinese stuff like Creation of the Gods and the other adaption of the 3 Body problem.
It’s still got bad stuff on it like Jack Ryan etc. Just it’s weirdly varied.
Idk why they keep trying to make video game adaptations, the 90s super mario and mortal kombat movies simply set the bar too high

You have to squint your brain a bit if you’re a Fallout Fan but it’s pretty fun yeah.
Amazon quality is a gamble. I have some beloved books adapted terribly, but others have been quite good.
I feel you on that, but the like a dragon series is one that would genuinely benefit from an adaptation. The gameplay encourages putting about and ignoring the main story which is a genuinely good organized crime soap opera. If it has the right team behind this might even better than fallout (which in my opinion had a good team behind it).
God of War and Horizon series are still set to show up
Plus that Disco Elysium one
We’re beyond the looking glass people
Hopefully it isn’t as loose of an adaption as the 2007 movie ended up being.
Wait a minute, this isn’t /c/fakenews.
