Holy fucking shit. I fucking hate these people. There’s literally no better example of the one party system that the US is than New York. Republicans routinely switch parties (like Eric Adams) and even then most Democrats here are neoliberal ghouls.

You’re sitting on a subway train and someone puts on a mask like this and comes in - you don’t know if they are going to commiting a crime, they’re going to have a gun, or whether they’re going to be threatening you because you’re Jewish, which is exactly what happened the other day. Absolutely unacceptable in the state of New York.

Yeah heaven forbid you are immunocompromised or live with someone that is in another high risk category. Fuck you, fucking scaremongering ghoul.

I just don’t even understand how it’s politically beneficial to instill fear in people that, under Hochul’s rule, the person wearing a mask on the subway may be a terrorist. How does this help her at all?

Its the pure, undistilled idiocy that somehow shifting further and further to the right will make Republicans think that they are cool even though everyone knows that they’ll still call Dems commies. This just isn’t a thing. Most of the time when the news is sensationalizing subway crime and show pictures of people who are captured on CCTV aren’t wearing masks. This is more about creating the illusion that things are “normal”. In a state that has cut funding to health care over the past two decades leading to the closure of hospitals, including right in the middle of a pandemic. If the bird flu breaks out into a full blown pandemic New York is going to be so fucked.

And look what’s already happening in North Carolina:

According to Stuart, she told the man that it was dangerous for her to go into public without a mask because of her diagnosis. It’s not a political statement, she said, and she showed the man a medical card describing her condition.

He then proceeded to approach her and feigned coughing on her repeatedly before telling her that he hopes the cancer kills her, she said.

Yeah this is when you start whooping a motherfucker (if able-bodied), and when they question you? The only thing you say, only one time, is “I feared for my life.” Then you stop talking because saying Anything to a pig is a bad idea. Quote my man Ski, “I be tryna to chill but sometimes violence be the answer.”

As a law-school style analysis exercise, I wonder if she would have been within her rights to pull out a gun and shoot that guy in self-defense.

tbqh if you’re not conceptualizing these sorts of people as an honest to God enemy, like the kind you actually go to war with - the kind that represents an existential threat to you and everything you love - you need to be.
