I assume he thought it was a clever joke to call his own children “batshit insane” but it kind of sounds like a Freudian slip. After all - he’s describing the normal fantasy life little kids have. Plus there’s what UlyssesT said.

From watching carpentry YouTube videos, I learned that most 2x4s in north America are lower quality because they’re made from younger trees and because they’re pine, they’re very soft wood. What the people on the videos recommend is taking a 2x10 that’s made from stronger wood, cutting two 2x4s from each edge, and then using that to smack JD Vance in the face.
