To the shame of the socialist movement, we have allowed “socialists” to join our ranks who do not care for the working class, who are obsessed with our transgender comrades, who seek to warp us into being oppressors, not liberators.

These “comrades” are easily spotted, often existing solely on the internet and in internal party meetings, never seen on pickets or in the community.

Again, we say look at America, the anti-trans movement there has led to oppression against all women.

Will our “comrades” hang their heads in shame as Britain takes the same path? Or will they continue to pathetically parrot anti-Marxist and transphobic lines?

Shwmae gymrodyr / hello comrades! I’m a member of Plaid Gomiwnyddol Cymru and the Welsh Underground Network (joined back when it was just Valleys Underground!).

Thanks for sharing our statement - it’s important that people know that transphobia isn’t baked into the Marxist-Leninist tradition, instead it’s something that’s emerged alongside opportunism, as seen in Britain but also in America with the new American “Communist” Party.

A comrade in y blaid (the party) suggested we could do a Q&A on here at some point if that’s of interest

Absolutely we’d be interested! UK communism usually has the unfortunate association with CPGB-ML and I think exposing an alternative to this website would be fantastic

Smae! Theres a good chance i follow you on twitter or bluesky lol. Always been a big fan of yalls work, just a shame it all started up as I moved to Saesland 😮‍💨

Keep it up. Wales deserves a true vanguard and that can only be delivered through the powerful work on the ground being done with WUG/PGC.

Yeah that happens - I was helping at a screening on a Cuban film recently and someone walked in and said “oh I heard about this because I follow X on BlueSky” (me). Bit embarrassing and surreal!

If you want to, you can pop us an email, we always try to find a way to involve communists who have left Wales in our movement, we’ve got a small network of diaspora we work with. Diolch cymrawd.
