I cannot pretend as if I can understand how the American legal system works, but the claims made on this website (and reddit post that I first saw this from) are very concerning. For those who don’t like clicking links, the main claims are:
- FDA removed warnings from Estrogen supplements and decided the risks to them were overblown
- About a month later a hate group (led by someone who did some shoddy research) submitted a petition to:
- Add the warnings back for trans women
- Force trans women accessing Estrogen to register on a list usually used for patients accessing opiods and such
- Move away from informed consent to mandatory psychiatric gatekeeping
Besides this there are other aspects to the petition. It is open to public commenting.
But don’t call them genocidal that’s mean and makes cissoids sad!
Cissoids: “You’re bad and evil for not following the rules like me! I’m perfect and smart! And you deserve to die for being WRONG! Jail time now, stupid!”
Trans people: “Well that’s kinda mean, can’t you let us be ‘wrong’ in peace?”
Cissoids: “I CAN’T BELIEVE IT! YOU TALKED BACK TO ME! YOU PEOPLE ARE ALL SO EASILY OFFENDED AND CAN’T JUST LET ME CORRECT YOU! I’M POSTING THIS ON KIWIFARMS! THAT’S WHAT YOU DESERVE FOR BREAKING THE RULES!”
The free speech right, everyone.
I think this is a way to covertly say “If you don’t play nice with us we’ll kill you.” It’s gunboat diplomacy basically. I think they’re cracking down because they realize that now that trans people are stepping away from respectability politics (even Brianna Wu lmao) they won’t be able to do it for much longer.
Fucking wild that these same people who are openly genociding the Palestinians are being given the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their intentions for Trans folk or Hispanics or even Black folk at home. Fucking absurd that we have to play these dumb games quibbling over the intent of people who are proud to be called murderers and post footage of their war machines bombing shit.
They even say that they want to eliminate trans people I just think people think it’s good
