Feddit.org has been promoting a fake, libelous edited screenshot as proof of dbzer0 being a Nazi instance.
This has now been proven FAKE with a working WayBack Machine link.

Compare the users, the @'s, the emojis. There are a few differences as this was taken later, but this is the original post that was modified to show dbzer0 and quokk.au as being targetted by Nazis.
Here is where Feddit.org has been promoting this lie, with the full backing of the admins.
I have recently been banned from Feddit.org due to their admins lying and dismissing of my questioning the legitimacy of this post. See YPTB post here
The responsibility for these lies and the accusations of calling people nazis falls squarely on @Emopunker@feddit.org shoulders.
Everytime I see one of these feud posts I think…
The Real Housewives of Lemmy
That could be a good name for a community :)
Zionists tend to be well organised and paid well. It’s not really a surprise to me they manufacture evidence like this since it’s this kind of mud that ends up sticking in the backs of people’s minds.
I’m not suggesting that emo was a paid actor. Simply that the kind of campaigns they typically do create the kind of person emo is.
Zionists have admitted to using AI generated photos to justify killing Lebanese reporters.
If you can’t trust a German based instance that espouses fascist ideologies then who can you trust?
Pretty disgusted to see Feddit.org allowed this content to stay up for so long and try to frame the Quokk.au and Dbzer0 admin team as Nazis simply because we dared to defederate their instance for its pro-Zionist stance.
I honestly haven’t thought of them once in the year since we blocked them, apparently we are still fresh on their minds.
I feel at the very least they should make a public retraction of this post, explaining how it was misinformation and ban the user who spread it.
They are blood thirsty Zionists what do you expect?
You think they made a mistake. It wasn’t a mistake, it was intentional.
I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they got a bit worked up hoping it was true. What matters now is how they amend for it.
So what you’re saying is that this is just Reddit 2
this, it’e like being around teenage children
Fedilectric boogaloo
I’m surprised people don’t see this as blatant projection. Nazis aren’t smart, but they know to target where the most easy recruits are. Dbzero is full of anarchists, who are historically so antinazi we have trouble getting along with other leftists.
On the other hand, constructing a “they’re the real Nazis!” narrative allows them to push Lemmy World (the biggest instance with the most “centrist” views, the best target for Nazi infiltration) into isolation. Especially isolation from people who recognize and vehemently fight the first signs of Nazis: anarchists.
Lemmy.world (and Feddit.org clearly) needs to clean their own house; they’re being actively attacked from inside.
What do Nazis do after recruiting more Nazis?
Jews haven’t been gassed in 80 years. So what have the Nazis been doing since then?
Lemmy.world and feddit.org admins and members are blood thirsty Zionists. While I don’t know what the Nazis have been doing the past 80 years, I do know what the Zionists have been doing. I have seen their indiscriminate murder and rape of civilians, women and children in 4k.
The responsibility for these lies and the accusations of calling people nazis falls squarely on @Emopunker@feddit.org shoulders.
Someone who posts rants on MeanwhileOnGrad being associated with falsifying nazi evidence? Well, I never!
Meanwhile is actually the dumbest fucking thing ever, like “hey look at these crazy people omfg lets keep looking at them” like get a life fml. I never would have heard of grad at all in my life if they weren’t constantly pushing the very same grad content they hate so much to the rest of the fediverse.
How did all this fascism get into my anti-communism AGAIN?
Many lemmy.org sucketpuppet accounts to talk trash about dbzero are getting removed. How does feddit.org tolerate this?
On those posts about people complaining (mostly in c/unpopularopinion) that lemmy isn’t all that different from reddit, instance infighting is one truly unique thing from the fediverse.

On the bright side, none of the instance owners have the kind of monopolistic power Reddit has.
Plus, unlike the average Redditor, the average Lemming has already switched platforms at least once and is a lot more ready to switch again.
Ya, the tribalism is much more intense, probably because we all have the @instance next to our name. I cringe so hard when I see people say shit like “typical .ml user” and the like. Most people just join an instance randomly, it’s not like there’s a political pledge they make you sign when you do or something.
I do think this current situation is kind of fucked up tho. Calling an admin a Nazi with doctored photos.

Um… lemmy.ml literally does do this though. :-P
I only joined .world because it was listed on Reddit Is Fun as the app closed. Now people randomly ban me or insult me for being mainstream. Bruh…
I joined them when Reddit started showing signs of pissing all over themselves. I went there because i had discoverability issues on my Mastodon trial. After about a month of .world issues with them and their groups, I realized the vast majority of my content was off-server anyway to avoid the toxicity. I moved over to zip and couldn’t have been happer to out of that place.
.zip is great, be it Lemmy or Piefed
What does zip do?
EDIT: Interesting: https://piefed.zip/defed_policy
.zip has a hands-off policy and gives users autonomy to block whatever they like. They do not take it upon themselves to block or defederate on behalf of everyone else. That’s why us lemm.ee refugees moved to .zip, because of similar instance policies. Also, the admin is great at maintaining the instance and provides regular updates.
So it’s Lemmy 4Chan?
Interesting thanks.
I mean that’s fine, weirdos are allowed to ban mainstream people from their instance. Idk i just hate the drama I couldn’t care less, if you own an instance and don’t like something ban em it’s yours. If it’s hard and wrong people get banned then sorry you aren’t good at it, find another hobby, other admins are good at it, we’ll all be fine.
lemmy.world used to be the most vanilla of instances. I have no clue now, but it still seems to be ok.
IDK now im on Piefed for the features. Even self hosting isnt that hard.
Its wild to judge a person based on the instance they are coming from. Like of all the things…
Nah, we suck
They point fingers at .ml to deflect from the fact that the opinions supposedly isolated to those instances are actually everywhere.
For ML, and far more so HB, it’s not the content so much as the style. Also the frequency.
Logical fallacies indeed can come from anywhere, but when the majority of content from a given source is that way… (depending on what your interests are and so what communities you are subscribed to), then it becomes a cost-benefit trade-off to block an entire instance.
Fwiw I have rarely ever regretted blocking all users from ML - in fact only once, a message from Dessalines, for whom I would make an exception to the instance block if I could.
i’m on .ca and i LOVE Joseph Stalin
Yup. My first instance was .world because fuck it, good enough, at least it’s not Reddit. (Didn’t know about all the drama until at least a year later, too. I still probably don’t know about a lot of it.) Now I’m two-timing that one and piefed.social until I carve out the time to set up my own instance or few, maybe even one with a deluxe-tier membership with extra features.
I hate fedidrama
Same but i can’t dimiss people’s opinion. I think it’s important to listen to them. There is people against AI, other for AI, and each of them have a point. They are not wrong.
I believe the best way to handle it is to create a framework for debate and bringing arguments to nuance our opinions, understanding each points.
However, there is also a limit on free speech and that’s our part to handle. That’s not easy. 😔
I still dont trust anarchists in the slightest. This doesnt invalidate my existing distaste from before reading it.
Damn anarchists, they want to feed, house, and care for each other without being coerced!
Many of those subversives don’t even distinguish Anarchism from their so called “Democracy” - which isn’t even real two elite party election democracy, but rather some lottery nonsense where poor people have the same amount of power as rich people. Disgusting. /s
I don’t trust feddit.org
It’s incredible the kind of drama people stir up for seemingly no reason.
It’s been top teir the past 2 weeks
I’m locking this post as i can’t investigate for now. The link to the wayback machine is broken on my side.
Sorry, I need a longer time to read, understand and verify. I’m busy. I’m letting @libb@piefed.social and @null@piefed.nullspace.lol handling it.
Thank for your understanding.
Followed the links and looks like this post is legitimate and the image was doctored.
Unlocking for now, but I would love to see all this fedi-drama live in it’s own community…
Disputes between users are “drama.” Disputes involving instance admins and discussions of defederation are matters of fediverse governance.
I’m tempted to host a single instance, with no accounts and a single community called “instance beefing”
Put it on a
.ch(Switzerland) domain, LOLI think that’s a good idea, but it would be a massive pain to moderate.
Why moderate it?
Someone will realise that and start using it as free cloud storage.
Please do a funny and call it something like ‘the marketplace of ideas’.
I think it could be a good idea. :)
I would name it “instance mediation” instead of “beefing” since we aren’t looking for a conflict but listening and talking. But of course that would be an utopia since we are passionnate on some topic. 😅
I imagine a safe space where users can bring their arguments with proofs without attacking each other. Just facts, nothing more…and they decide. :)
I imagine a safe space where users can bring their arguments with proofs without attacking each other. Just facts, nothing more…and they decide. :)
Don’t forget the unicorn while you’re at it 😅
Well i can dream about it 😔
I think this is a level beyond drama. This was a deliberate misinformation/smear campaign.
That’s why i tought it was important an importants information.
But it was quite sensible, We have to verify and thread it carefuly.
Boooooo
Unfortunately I fell for all the gossip around them being a neo nazi.
It’s pretty sad to see something like this happen in the fediverse.
At least you realized your mistake, and you’re able to admit it.
Admitting getting fooled is a very mature thing to do and so rare in online discouse.
I got fooled for years by Israel propaganda around Gaza. Since then I get in to trouble with lots of communities for questioning the narrative of both sides.
Yooo same.
I fall for shit like it’s going out of style. HumanOS is suckware.
The fact that you can recognize a cognitive fuck up for what it is and admit it is really cool.
If more people could do that… well we wouldn’t have drama like this.
At least you got to see the truth.
Many people are not going to see this post and walk away thinking it was true. The damage of a lie lasts forever.
The feddit.org admins did not help by refusing to remove the post for hours after it was proven fake and continuing to argue against and silence evidence proving it.
Don’t feel bad. It’s completely plausible. Anyone could have fallen for it.
We’re anarchists! We couldn’t be more diametrically opposed to fascism if we tried. It’s the opposite of plausible! 🫠
I owe you an apology. Especially after my post in yepowertrippinbastards. I’m glad it opened a discussion on the matter and that the correct information was provided though.
I hope you can forgive me.
No worries
People fell for the idea of “centralized anarchist leadership”, I think plausibility is more about whether people can be convinced something is true than if the idea can even reflect reality.
Also some people think of the flotilla as “those pirate people”, and don’t know or have any interest in knowing more, which is a shame.
I actually had an idea for some promo type material I was calling “Ooh, so scawy!”, with things like pictures of food being handed out or community cleanup efforts. At the bottom would be “They are an anarchist! Ooh, so scawy!”, because so many people have no idea what anarchists stand for that I thought it might be a neat way to share ideas in a playful way.
I thought you were an autonomous collective.
Maybe I just don’t understand how the capture dates work on waybackmachine, but the only two captures were made today, at a time after the original post was seemingly deleted. When I was trying to locate the source of the screenshot yesterday there was also no entry in the waybackmachine yet for that URL.
Am I just not understanding how this works or is there something else here?
Edit: I see now that the URL given yesterday for “proof” and the URL captured are just two different URLs. And the captured URL also still works, so there’s no discrepancy here
From what I understand, the original link given with the screenshot was fake, hence why it appeared to lead to a post that was deleted.
The link that was archived with the Wayback machine is the real conversation from which the screenshot originated from. The screenshot was doctored, but everything else other than the text matches up.
For sites like these, the Wayback only archives at request. The debunker wanted to give real proof and not just a screenshot.
