Found this comment on a post about how China is “doing capitalism better then the west, socialism is achieved through capitalism, etc”.

I was expecting some weird takes in the thread, but this was beyond parody.

Or simply cheaper commodities, or perhaps, eventually, maybe, someday, gasp! less working hours

The western cucked brain cannot comprehend anything besides genocide

Meanwhile China is regulating that many jobs can not be automated even if the technology is able to do it because they want to keep jobs available for people

I think that law was primarily to prevent companies from laying off workers from positions that LLMs can’t actually do very well. There is a lot of that happening in the west.

I think they did it for some other jobs too from what I was hearing when I was there last. China has a big workforce of “people standing around” as my friend called it, opening doors and doing a lot of stuff that could definitely be automated. They were telling me those jobs are currently protected from being automated but I’m now wondering if that was a city or province decision or a national one.

Did you notice how the racist brain can’t comprehend the basic mathematical concept of proportion? Usually it’s the “immigrants taking jobs” thing like if every country had a fixed amount of jobs to allocate independent of demographics. We also have the “China biggest polluter” thing like if we could break China down into <1m countries to solve climate change.

Westoids be like “they need money to live” but it’s like they need food, shelter, and translated One Piece manga to live and if a robot can provide it then there’s not much to do but what they please.

I’ll say it again: automation in pursuit of more work to do sounds like infinite growth on a finite planet. It should be a wonderful thing when automation makes it so there’s less work. I’m concerned what happens when the automation breaks down and it’s hard to find a specialist to fix it. But that’s different than the collective deciding to deprioritize feeding and sheltering everyone because it’s cruel and it’ll get us right back into this mire at “the end of history”

It simply does not sound just to me that you’d have to choose between hamstringing automation and some kind of mass destruction of humanity. Organization and communication is so easy to automate that a different system must take root.
