I get the joke, but for once I actually think this might be more comfortable to sleep on. Got a little upward tilt for the head so you can use less stuff as your pillow.

I think it’s a bit tight to work a skate ramp even if you built an access ramp matched with the table to have sufficient speed, it just seems too small of a curve.

It would work with Tony Hawk game physics. They’re not exactly the type of games that go for realism.

No. Without sides to guide the ball, it would shoot off almost straight up, instead of turning. The banking isn’t enough to overcome the inertia of a ball going fast enough to make the loop.

It doesn’t need to turn, it’s a continuous angle if you unfurl it so if you got the angle and speed right it should stay centered and travel the loop.

What if you rotated the ball at the same time?

Depends on where you launch it from. If you launch it from the end, that would happen. But if you were to launch it from the beginning of the loop you could give it the proper inertia for it to be able to go through the loop.

Well I’ll be a monkey’s uncle. This one is real. Artist Michael Beitz is known for creating loopy, twisty, or reality-defying tables. This piece was a “rollercoaster picnic table” made for the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art in Wisconsin.

Thanks, I was hoping it was :). Fuck this timeline where the default is doubting reality.
