After he shot himself, his Nazi friends buried him and his wife in about 1 foot of dirt in the garden outside the bunker. (This is the place that is today a parking lot for an apartment block). The Soviet Red Army exhumed that grave within a few days and cremated the bodies and scattered them so as to not create any single place that could become a focal point for future neo-nazi movements.

Many years ago my parents had a neighbor. He was a nice guy but annoying as all hell at times, so much so that my mom purposely avoided him at the pool. Then he died unexpectedly of a heart attack. And suddenly, according to her, he was the nicest person she knew, always so friendly and loved chatting with him, etc etc.

I was on a work zoom during covid. One guy was getting an award, (6 months before they told him to leave or be fired by the way) and the lady from “leadership” was talking about how she always enjoyed their chats near the eating area (before covid), and over teams he sent a message to a few of us that said “I have never spoken to her in my entire time here”.
