But more to the point, like, I get it, JavaScript can do all kinds of fun things without people’s knowledge, but making your own personal website annoying about it only makes me think you’re annoying.

But also, I’ve been clocked. What’s funny is, disabling javascript on this site, sure, fine. However, I lived that “disable javascript everywhere” life for almost a year, and it just made using the internet for day-to-day business a fucking annoyance.
I looked at that site and the guy seems like the type who called others soydevs back before LLMs exploded onto the scene.
I have their blog in my RSS reader, and while the technical posts are interesting, yeah big yikes energy like basically every fash into FOSS, sighs. I also use disabled javascript, aside from some whitelisted websites, or try to use it disabled anyways lol
