Yeah, unfortunately when the satire still propagates the same beliefs and legitimizes them, then it isn’t really satire anymore. I mean it is satire to the people who recognize it as such and it’s not satire to the people who don’t recognize it as such. basically allowing them to collect engagement from both sides of the spectrum. A big part of why I hate satire, but there’s at least some comfort in knowing that the ridiculousness of this tambourine claim is probably not meant in earnest.
