Anecdote: I’m pretty sure bird flu is much worse than we know. I was running once when I cut through some semi-private property, I found several trashbags full of dead chickens. They had been scattered about by coyotes, etc. They were somewhat mangled but they looked sick. I’m pretty sure they were dumped because of bird flu. I imagine lots of carnists are dumping sick/dead chickens rather than reporting them and being forced to cull (-$$$$).
