generally communist parties put the communist part first and the country part last as a bit of internationalism
some yank styleguide decided to put the chinese part first in some mix of racism, making it sound more like the CCCP, and the reactionary impulse to not call things by their proper names. see deadnaming and the “democrat party” shibboleth mainstreamed by rush limbaugh.
“Chinese Communist Party” centers their Chineseness over their communism as a means of othering them and upholding white supremacy. also connects to the “ChiCom” pseudo-slur popular during the height of the cold war
“Communist Party of [Country]” is a long-standing formulation that underscores the international and class-based nature of the worker’s movement
Which is funny that they even seized upon “CCCP” because it’s Cyrillic and the Latin equivalent would be “SSSR” so it’s just “spooky foreign thingy” all the way down.
People have explained the facts - CCP is the racist Western name for the CPC.
But the importance behind the distinction is that ‘The Communist Party’ ™ is supposed to be an international workers’ movement. So the CPC prefers to be referred to as such because they still explicitly align with international communism, just they’re based in China. As opposed to the name ‘Chinese Communist Party’, which both emphasises nationalism, and moreso implies they’re a party dedicated only to some sort of ‘Chinese Communism’.
The name CPC is a preference in support of international workers’ solidarity. I wonder why the West refuses to honor it.
How to tell in an instant you’re dealing with a chud.
Whats the difference from CPC?(I’m new)

Sick. Thanks everyone for the explanations. I hope for(and work towards) a CPC(Communist Party of Canada) where I am some day.
