On this day in 1969, the Cordobazo Uprising began in the city of Córdoba, Argentina as a general strike, with workers seizing the city, burning the corporate headquarters of Citroën and Xerox, and clashing with the army.
The rebellion took place under the military dictatorship of General Juan Carlos Onganía, who had seized power in a coup in 1966. Onganía’s government had suspended the right to strike, froze workers’ wages, suppressed communist movements, and extended the age of retirement.
In the wake of widespread violent state repression against protesters, the labor union “CGT de los Argentinos”, led by Agustín Tosco, called for national strike on May 30th, 1969. In Cordoba, the general strike and protests began one day earlier.
On the first day of the protests, police opened fire on thousands of protesters, killing a worker named Maximo Mena, causing the strike to escalate into a citywide revolt, leading to widespread destruction of property and seizing of city spaces. Onganía crushed the rebellion with the military, and Agustín Tosco was arrested for his role in the rebellion.

What’s a good job for when you use public transportation and don’t have a permanent address?
I don’t know about public transportation, but for job options that will let you not have a permanent address:
long haul trucker
consultant in IT or accounting
For the latter, the jobs tend to be 80-100% travel time. The company will pay for hotel and transportation when you’re with clients. Usually public transit isn’t very viable because a lot of places you’ll travel to may not have good transit and a lot of offices are located in suburban areas anyway.

Food service has a lot of jobs that don’t require any accreditation, maybe look into cleaning, cooking or being waitstaff? And then there’s working in warehouses (Nobody I know who has worked in one liked the job, but they’ve all been clear it’s an easy job to get), or at a store.
You might think of becoming a Health Care Aide or Certified Nurse Assistant - they do stuff like turning patients, feeds, mobilizing patients (as in going from bed to chair that kind of thing), constant (for people who need to be watched at all times), sometimes they even do blood glucose checks. Some hospitals are near public transit if a city has transit at all. CNA school is relatively short, 1 to 4 months depending where you are. Need a high school diploma. Some places do not require certification (no school), check the local hospitals. So long as you can get a wash in for work and keep scrubs clean you’re good.
