Something something use godot
Or some of it’s alternatives.
(In progress to make the basic-IO part (iota) to be independent of the D runtime and GC, thus making it a good candidate for use with other languages with C or C++ interop)
why not LOVE2D if you want better documentation and easier to use?
Or make your own bespoke/in-house engine (if you can)
It’s half the fun! Of course, historically, I always run out of steam by the time I get something going and get to making something playable.
Engine developer here, the hardest part of developing engines is the tooling. That’s why Godot and Unity are where they’re today.
Oh, no doubt about that. I tend to make 2D games as my art skills are beyond embarrassing anyway so 2D map/terrain makers are much easier, quicker, and more fun (to me) to create.
Cool, so they can waste a ton of resources generating games no one will ever play. Absolutely fantastic. I can’t think of one possible way the Unity devs could better spend their time than this new slop generator.
I hate Unity. I hated it when it was new and a buggy piece of shit, I hate that it’s taken over Steam, and I hate that it’s integrating AI slop.
Nothing says “40 FPS low-poly game” like a “Made with Unity”-splash screen
Well good am not the only one.
This is why I hate looking for a game to spend my money on.
“The End of UX”, as I’ve been calling it, continues apace. 😭
God, screw Unity am tired of this engine.
I want this engine to crash and burn. This chart may bring joy upon you.

yep it did
Yeh I don’t think so. If the AI tools that Unity already has are any indicator, i don’t think it’ll work.
