I literally had an argument with a coworker over the implementation of an ISO standard. I had a report issued by the government and a book on said standard, plus several up to date online resources from ISO itself.
His argument was “ChatGPT told me” with absolutely no sources. I had to escalate two… TWO levels of management in order to get someone with common sense to listen to me.
Just the modern version of “my nephew told me, he is good with computers” attitude.
When someone says “My nephew told me that AI told him” then you know what follows is going to be the worst possible advice for the situation
“Barron is good with the cyber.”
I recently had a manager impatient at why it was taking us so long to resolve an issue. Then go on a rant about how easy it was to fix then he dumped at giant wall of text on us and said I made you a guide on how to solve this. It was completely wrong AI generated slop. These people 100% believe that AI is giving them domain knowledge and they can participate.
I would have loved to be able to step back crack a beer and watch him try and go through “his” step by step process.
Oh, I see you’ve met our government.

“By” not “but”. Autocorrect betrays again.
I diddint have autocorrect on :)
LLMs kneecapping their opposition
