i love my country deeply but it doesnt love me in terms of my beliefs. i often consider leaving the NATO aligned world
No. My only loyalty is to those who stand with the oppressed and keep the robber barons at bay. Not the bourgeois state that opposes everything I stand for.
I am currently unfortunately located in the US. New England, specifically, which provides the one boon of having a very pretty environment. Not that that really cheers me up becuase it just reminds me of how climate change will destroy all of it within my lifetime. Anyone who would be loyal to this, either its repressive murderous imperialistic governance or its empty vacuous unthinking populous, is a dog of the lowest order.
No but would be for enough money.
No
Never felt any emotional attachment to the country I was born in.
It always felt really weird to “be a national”. Like for it to matter at all.
You don’t control where you’re born. I always felt it made more sense to create an attachment to things you develop a taste for.
And it felt like mass scale Stockholm syndrome for people to be so in love with the place they were born in.
This made me violently reject my native country when I went through an angry teenager phase. Now I appreciate it. But just like I appreciate any other country or thing.

If there is a future United Council Republics of Turtle Island (or Federated Communes of Turtle Island), I’m loyal to that.

Hate to be that person but no, this is not correct. Long live to the heroes of the Soviet Union who gave their lives defending their homeland from fascism, long live the Cuban doctors who study all their lives to treat their compatriots.
You could say the Red Army GOATs didn’t die to protect the country, but their nation. The land, though important, is but irrelevant compared to the people.
Its the people. That’s what everything is about. That’s what everything has always been about.
I like to think every communist is motivated not by loyalty to the state (even if its the state of the workers), but to the workers themselves. The state is just a passing thing. A tiny blip in the history of humanity
This definition is good because it makes dying for the US even worse, because there is no group of incurious unenlightened backwards “people” more unworthy of your self sacrifice.
You could argue it ultimately was for the people, but one of the most memorable and widely used slogans during the war was Za rodinu, za Stalina! literally meaning “For the Motherland, for Stalin!”.
Of course people don’t cry “for the state!” as in “for the apparatus of class repression and bureaucracy!”, but when they cry “for my country!” they’re not exclusively chanting “for my peoples and close ones!”
My country is the international working class
If your nations is occupied or partitioned, then the national question is easy to answer. Your immediate contradiction in the way of socialist progress is national liberation.

im only asking a question. you got it all wrong if u dont think communists loved their countries sometimes
I think that was his opinion of his country
No that would be

I’m just joking brosef
Your screen name is literally a reference to the NATO intelligence sharing program that includes the CIA lol
That’s entirely a coincidence, just changed four-eyes to fourteen eyes because I have some weird obsession with the number
You’re 8 short
fuck no

Lol

I have no love for the nationalistic bourgeoisie project that I happened to be born into.
WHy the fuck would I be? - signed, an american
Treason is the most based crime
Loyalty to
is treason against life.Of course, being a traitor to the Great Satan is good and based, it’s just that I never signed up to be one of his minions. Which makes me not a traitor. I’m pleading not guilty if they come for me, much good that will do me.
Is your country loyal to you?
Ask not what you ought to do for your country, but what your country actually does for you and for the least of its citizens.
I’ll serve crack before I serve my country
