We have two litterboxes but only 1 cat for reasons I can’t recall and she has taken it upon herself to seperate he waste. I find this very silly

They’ll pee where they want to mark territory more. Right now my cat isn’t pissing in the litter box in my room, but she’s doing it in the boxes in my roommates room and the guest bathroom. It’s honestly annoying bc it makes me paranoid she’s just peeing somewhere random.
Usually n+1 is standard for litter boxes. Admittedly I only have 1 per cat, but still notice one box always ends up being light on turds.

ive seen that happen before. the litterbox rule is to have 1 for each cat, plus 1 more. cats can be real silly sometimes.
