“We should have done more as an administration,” Harris said at the event, adding “we should have spoken publicly about our criticism” of how Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu executed the war.

“Not ending the material support of Israel, of course, we just needed better messaging.

The fact that they have still been full throatedly supporting Israel despite this report proves that they don’t actually care about winning elections, or at least they have higher priorities than that (supporting empire).

You see, there’s a median voter somewhere in fucking Arizona or some such who really truly has a hard time deciding between the two candidates. Offering them healthcare, a union, or a safety net and the like are obviously no good because, regardless of relative price, if the invoice came from a government paper instead of a private company they’d fall into madness as if they saw the face of C’thulu xirself.

So when they wake up after watching reality TV until there’s 4 hours left to vote, they turn on the TV see two people groveling and crying, begging to for a chance to spill more blood, they choose the one who promises the least in return for causing unfathomable harm. Why? Because there were no subtitles during the super bowl halftime show.

Popular policies just aren’t realistic because the whole system is set up around that guy in Arizona

It’s not hardly single issue either, people hate the democrats all around for being the status quo even as the rot of plutocracy is now visible on the surface of the republic and spread throughout the whole.

They are just using slander and emotion to obscure the issue, that they are controlled opposition, that they are controlled by the rich, and their mission is not keeping republicans out but crushing popular reform, purging the left, and reconciling the sheep to accepting the rich stealing our lunch.

Not just in the US, it’s across the west, from the UK to france to germany to the aussies, the rich captured the “left” versions of the parties, that now live and measure left and right from inside the colon of the billinaires.

The only direction we need to go is straight backwards, then get our bearings, left and right mean nothing from up there, it turns center left and center right multiple times but there is no future heading further in to the small intestine, as warm and safe as they may find it up.

They want to win on their own terms: endorsing genocide and giving you absolutely nothing. They do not support or endorse the democratic process (as demonstrated by their lack of interest in a primary).

It’s insane that these demons bend over backwards to prove their loyalty to Israel. They are so conditioned to bootlick Israel that the thought of just criticizing Israel can’t manifest itself in their brains.

Not bootlicking Israel manifests videos of them, and or their donors, fucking children with epstein, to say nothing of other kompromat they accrued, I bet financial crimes galore and other, darker stuff, looking at you Lindsey Graham.

It really is like that as fantastical as that sounded 5 years ago when many of us learned it, it’s now become inescapably true to the majority of the reality based population. Our lawmakers, and the rich that control them, are directly compromised by Israel, a critical mass of them that pulls along the rest more as crossing them spurs the mass to attack.

I love that they have to keep this report secret, it really drives home how they are not any opposition, they’re just the other arm of the empire

    • The harm reduction argument is really stupid at this point too.

Kamala was at the DNC promising a stronger border policy than Trump and about how she was going to make the US military the “most lethal fighting force.”

All while lying about “working tirelessly for a ceasefire” that the Trump administration secured before he was even in office (probably to humiliate Biden)

I guess the harm reduction is uh ICE agents that act slightly less like open fascists but probably more efficiently doing deportations???

Weird that they’d cover it up; if it didn’t cost them votes, there wouldn’t be any point to scolding the left for refusing to accept the lesser genocide.

But everyone who was neither anti-racist nor pro-human rights told me it was my fault, personally!

There is this insane current of thought among Democrats that it is not the role of the party to represent the people, rather, the role of the people to subjugate themselves to the will of the party. This is… for freedom?

No shit? They need a study to tell them that?

These fucking dems running the party are worthless, negative worth really. Real leaders don’t need study groups and polls and studies to know what’s popular, and they make popularity, they don’t chase it.

As if they didn’t know they represent the part of the population that both lives in reality and is for the common good, their entire professional careers were built on purging them from any position, from spiting them at every turn, and from preventing them from taking control of the party.

Without new leadership in the democratic party, there is no way out of this death spiral, and all efforts to fight fascism under their leadership are doomed to fail and expose the people for the common good to the worst guys.

Well really they were hoping the study would tell them something different, and when they got the obvious result they decided they shouldn’t release the findings.

Yeah no shit, even the non-Zionist liberals could see that what was happening in Gaza was a problem. Leaders demonstrate leadership by solving problems. It’s the fucking trait you look for. It doesn’t matter if they delegate or do it themselves they take action to solve the problem.

They don’t ignore the problem. I don’t care how thick the ideology is, it’s still a big lie to swallow when you see them with hands over their eyes and ears and you choke on your own words defending their “leadership.”

It wasn’t hands over eyes so much as outright complicity though. They knew exactly what they were supporting, and didn’t check them at all in truth, only performative checks that meant nothing, and everyone in reality knows it. Stopping shipments of mega bombs until they make a show of letting in a few dozen aid trucks for instance, as if the don’t have a stockpile, the ability to make their own as we made sure they can, and otherwise get them elsewhere.

Biden, and Kamala, thought we were pretty fucking stupid, and or powerless, and revelled in their arrogance in dropping the mask and ruling as we all knew they were, tools of the rich and powerful that work to crush popular reform, not to win elections. Their mandate from the donors that control the party is to keep out the left, popular reform, and to not revoke the license granted to the rich and security services. It’s never been more clear, even as since 2020 no one could deny the Republicans were planning on fixing elections and we were one election away from an indefinite kakistrocracy running a reign of terror on the parts of the population that fight for the common good and all forms of opposition to them, (soon their own supporters will be targeted if they get absolute power, and their assets stripped for the leaders personally but that’s another story,) and otherwise killing the republic in all but name emulating hitler.

The party learned nothing either. As arrogant as ever, passing the buck, blaming voters despite knowing it’s a doomed to fail strategy, for the aforementioned reasons.

This is widely known, but it wasn’t enough votes to cost her the election. Dem opportunists will keep beating us over the head with pragmatism over principles, when in reality it was just a lousy campaign. The admin took way too long to do anything about the fact that Biden was not fit for the job, a fact that Dem party operatives and consultants liked.

When they finally did something it was too late, their candidate was incredibly unpopular, who offered nothing to voters. For a decade, dem party realignment advocates had discussed publicly the idea of withholding votes in order to move them to action. That, plus the moral imperative to resist genocide and support for genocidal regimes may have been the final nails in the coffin for Dems in 2024, but they built it and laid down it it themselves.

But at least people are beginning to realize that it isnt enough to withhold votes from the Democratic party, we need a new party that represents working class people against the capitalist.
