    There is a few weeks difference between the source of the supply disruption and the end user

    In the meantime, the fascist politicians have largely been suppressing oil prices by tapping into reserves, or worse, through subsidies and futures manipulations.

    As a result, the demand for oil hasn’t had much time to adjust. Precious weeks which could have been spent implanting work from home, gearing up public transport, setting up energy rationing and so on have been lost with everyone scrambling for “normalcy”.

    The system’s overreacting inertia will kill us all.

      Very much agree, the only thing they know is how to try and paper over problems hoping to get back to the status quo. The system is fundamentally incapable of any meaningful change needed to adjust to new realities. I find it’s kind of funny how liberals see the western system as being one with open debate, but the reality is that it’s incredibly rigid because all the debate is just theatre that doesn’t translate into material action. Meanwhile, China shows us what a system with genuine debate looks like, where it’s possible to plan for the future and to adjust to the needs of material reality.

    Libs in my group chats are in extreme denial right now.

    After having suffered years of their insolent arrogance and stupidity, the Schadenfreude I will soon get to quietly experience will be exquisite.

    And not to worry dear reader! I’m talking about libs who have been enjoying blissful wealth all their lives so far. A little hardship might put their minds in a better place.
