Lathe time: NATO will carry out a false-flag attack against one of its member states (maybe Poland?) and say it was a false-flag attack carried out by the Russians.

More like they use US/NATO equipment without trying to make it look like the enemy’s, then loudly proclaim that it was a false flag performed by Russian saboteurs. Maybe even have a fallguy in place to make a forced or fabricated confession that they did it on behalf of Russia.

I would personally guess some mossad/cia/mi6 guy flies a stolen Russian drone into Finland and explodes a power station.

The Scandinavian countries are completely brainwashed with russophobic propaganda and will gladly annihilate what’s left of their welfare states for their american overlords if the ensuing anger and despair got directed towards Russia.

Poland is already all in with the NATOids, but there is still a lot of juice to squeeze out of the Scandinavian countries. It would also make it easier for the US to grab Greenland.

      • It’s this. There was an article on Finnish national news on how “Russian full scale mobilization is imminent” just days ago. They are ramping this bs up again.

My boomer dad unironically expects a Russian invasion daily, has for years. There’s a lot of rabid unserious fucks like him here.

Very impressive of Russia to be able to do a full scale invasion of Finland while also having their entire army busy with their full scale invasion of Ukraine. I guess they just have a secret second army that no one knows about.

Something more central in a large population area. They will want it to be big and flashy and caught on a lot of cameras for maximum news and social media impact.

On one hand, they like to just say this shit from time to time. On the other hand, this is exactly what they’d say if they were about to escalate the Ukraine war or Iran war in some insane way that could provoke Russia.

The only ones to gain from an open war between nato and Russia is Ukraine. The west has a „good thing“ going, weakening Russia by bleeding Ukraine dry. Russia is still gaining terrain despite the recent Ukraine hype, an open war with NATO would turn a winnable war into an utter disaster for them.

Or is there something in there for Trump/US to decide to blow up Europe, that I‘m missing?

I don’t think this would happen because nukes.

But lets ignore nukes for a moment and pretend they don’t exist. In that case, this would be the right time to do it. US has expended everything good that it has, lost their middle east foothold, is stretched beyond capacity, will take literally years to replenish stocks.

They don’t even have to actually do it, they can just move some stuff around in a way that threatens to do it and their response would expose just how stretched the US is.

Because of how missiles work, I think technically they could attack NATO within hours. If we’re doing dire hypotheticals, why half-ass it? Hell, give the little Eichmanns in Kiev the NATO membership carrot and then all will agree that Russia has retroactively been attacking NATO for years!

I’m sure the plan has been to get Europe to be able to handle itself, so that USA can handle the other regions, however…

They didn’t consider that USA won’t be able to handle the other regions. le-monke

I don’t think we should treat it as an impossibility. Ukraine has been attacking Russian infrastructure and killing civilians in Russia with NATO support, that is asking for escalation from Russia’s side. A red flag attack is also possible though, we’ll see.

I think Putin would be too smart to do this. I can’t see how openly attacking NATO countries militarily would benefit Russia in any way.
