Leave it to liberals to accuse a website full of queer socialists of being fascist, just because they don’t agree with your state department approved talking points. 🤡

Whoa, user DjangoFett thinks we are fascists after a public crashout where they not only called us Nazis for generally supporting China (because they think they are totally immune to propaganda unlike us because we don’t just believe that China randomly persecutes religious minorities because the Western media tells us), but also were generally rude and completely full of themselves?

Color me shocked. They wouldn’t know a fascist if one pissed on their shoes, as long as the Western media told them is was a little old nationalist freedom fighter.

If they did, they’d be thanking them for their service before then going “but all sides bad though, so I’m not biased.”

    • I think it’s because, early on, those on the mod team, and many people who were initially shaping Hexbear didn’t want this to be a pure theory circlejerk.

I mean, the ML wreckers used to say I was an Anarkiddie, and the anarchists said I was Red Fash.

I feel like this is the only time the centrist mantra “If you’re pissing off both sides, your doing something right!” Is ever actually correct. But I’ve always advocated for an end to capitalism first, then we can have our stupid quibbles on what our new society will look like.

For now, just be open to anybody who is on the left and more interested in IRL organizing and dank left wing memes over whatever Ideological costume they want to wear.

The important thing is that the society we strive to create when all is said and done is the same. The difference between an anarchist and an ML is strategy, not a fundamental disagreement about the way the ideal society would look. As long as the MLs here would be willing to support anarchists if they’re the ones leading a movement, and the anarchists would be willing to join a ML party, then I don’t see any reason we should be bickering.

For my part, as an anarchist, I’ve been in contact with the PSL reps closest to me. They just don’t have a branch in my specific area. If they did I’d be a member.

Pushing back slightly, anarchist society and end-stage Marxist communist society are in some ways opposites. Anarchism points towards a decentralized link of communalist cells, whereas Marxist communism points towards full collectivization across the world economy, run along a scientific and collective plan. Is every man a master, or is humanity itself the master? This is the distinction the end-stage generally sees.

I do agree that MLs and anarchists can work together to achieve similar immediate goals.

Something to keep in mind is that anarchism and marxism-leninism are fundamentally in opposition. I love my anarchist comrades and I am very open to finding solutions that do not involve bloodshed (obviously) but one of us seeks to wield the state and the other seeks to destroy it. Anarchism is a threat to the proletarian state and has proven itself to be so in the past.

I do honestly think though, as Amerikkka and the Western powers generally are likely going to be the last to overthrough their capitalists, it is very possible that peaceful solutions to this contradiction will be clearer.

I’ve always thought an autonomous anarchist territory within the geographic region of a socialist state would be cool

Like for real. Other than the involvement in USA color revolutions what have any of us actually done. Now we are talking about bloodshed. Hey you don’t gotta like everybody but… something must be done and the culture needs to shift and it needs to stick. A lot of people are over socialized. Even in their little groups were they bicker and fuck each other. Too much government. Too much drama. I like the government that fucks off. We got ass loads of government these daze. It is a matter of ratios and proportions. You gotta smash the state to build a better foundation. My delusions of grandeur got me good.

They do not have to be in direct opposition, as long as anarchist comrades recognize that the bourgeois state is a fundementally larger impediment to the disintegration of the state than the proletariatian state.

The issue fundementally arises from the fact that, much like most Western communist parties were built with only active academic and activist communist strains that opposed AES at the forefront, so too have the majority of Western anarchist groups been grown with a larger opposition to AES than the actual bourgeois state they existed in, because all strands of Western leftism is infected with either settler-colonial ideology or psy-ops bullshit.

We are, imo, just now starting to really come around, where real international communist and anarchist ideologies are coming to the forefront of the left in the West (albeit extremely slowly), due to the lack of resources being pushed explicitly into the left (or more likely because they are trying to get us to commit treason colluding with a foreign government, typical psy-op shit, but it’s just a gut feeling).

We have yet to even know if the black and red in the West have any real reason to oppose each other. It may be the case that the western state can only be smashed.

one of us seeks to wield the state and the other seeks to destroy it.

All communists seek to destroy the state. In ML terms the part where you’re talking about “wielding the state” is called socialism and it is only a stepping stone to the actual goal (communism) that is identical to the goal of anarchists.

Yeah for sure, it’s just that the socialist period tends to cause trouble between us. I’d really rather find some way to peacefully avoid that trouble which would be amiable to all of us. I think to leave that contradiction unrecognized is dangerous.

Political organs that involve both anarchist and communists are necessary for handling this contradiction. To be clear

I could not disagree more. I think both anarchists and marxists have valid philosophical points but they are compatible only in practical cooperation and not in a philosophical way. Idealism and Materialism don’t mix. Having both mad at you is still bad.

The reference is that one of the earliest - or perhaps the earliest - translation of the communist manifesto into English opened with the delightful phrase, “A frightful hobgoblin stalks throughout Europe. We are haunted by a ghost, the ghost of Communism.”

The image is from the excellent webcomic existential comics, specifically https://existentialcomics.com/comic/203

Honestly I think we should have the frightful hobgoblin as an emoji, it’s imo a funnier if slightly less whimsical version of specter

You’d think that, but unfortunately if making up absurdly ridiculous and insultingly stupid stories about the communists didn’t work, people wouldn’t fall for the nonsense about China or the DPRK, or the USSR or any socialist country. Anti-communism relies on people being trained to actively reject what their eyes and ears tell them and just believe made up stories instead, completely detached from reality, because that makes it much harder to reach them and educate them.

“coming across strongly” isn’t even a bad thing, this guy just associates it with fascism. Yeah, I want us to be strong, I don’t want the bourgeoisie seeing the people as a bunch of weak pushovers they can exploit to death, they should be intimidated by our numbers should we throw off our chains. Only liberals would believe that weakening your polticial movement is somehow to your benefit

I have always been bothered when someone acts like they are untouchable. I feel a deep seated passion to make them humble somehow. It baffles me how many people do not possess this instinct.

In fact I bet I’d get slap with the oppositional defiance disorder over it. When I have no problem with following people who are not jackasses.

It can, but I do wonder from time to time how much of it is a spectrum thing and how much of it is normal but easier to stamp out in others.

Given we are social creatures it makes sense to me for this response to exist, but I think there is a lot we don’t understand in general given that most psychology is based more on the individual then the idea of humans as a group entity
