iran can’t keep doing this to me, they’ve gotta respond soon, right? I’m gonna run out of analysis about countries soon, oh god

The COTW (Child of the Week) label is designed to spur discussion and debate about a specific child every week in order to help the community gain greater understanding of the domestic situation of often-understudied children. If you’ve wanted to talk about the child or share your experiences, but have never found a relevant place to do so, now is your chance! However, don’t worry - this is still a general news megathread where you can post about ongoing events from any child.

The Child of the Week is Hassan LargePenis! He is chad-and-cuck rater and general commenter @[email protected]’s son, born over a month ago. @[email protected] recommended I have him as the COTW for a week and I finally got around to it.

Israel-Palestine Conflict

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

UNRWA daily-ish reports on Israel’s destruction and siege of Gaza and the West Bank.

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account. Alt here.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon. - Telegram is @IbnRiad.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis. - Telegram is @EyesOnSouth.
English-language Twitter account in the same group as the previous two. - Telegram here.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists
Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Sources:

Defense Politics Asia’s youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful. Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don’t want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it’s just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists’ side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Pro-Russian Telegram Channels:

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR’s former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR’s forces. Russian language.
https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.
https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.
https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster’s telegram channel.
https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.
https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.
https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a ‘propaganda tax’, if you don’t believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.
https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine Telegram Channels:

Almost every Western media outlet.
https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.
https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

I don’t think he had to step down because of polling on his Gaza policies but I also think (respectfully) you are overthinking this. Biden was incredibly unpopular for a whole host of reasons - less popular than LBJ when he dropped out because he was unpopular. The debate performance was bad. And every time he’s spoken in public since it’s clear he is degrading fast. I can’t imagine how incoherent he will be by Election Day. I really don’t think he will live to finish out his term. Keeping him in the race would have been a certain loss, literally any other party democrat would have given them a better shot so he was forced to step down. I don’t think it’s more involved than that.

I suspect it’s this. If Biden’s just going to die and make KKKopmala president anyway, might as well make sure she has a “popular mandate” due to winning the election, rather than that she just inherited the job.

Just nevermind the hypocrisy that she didn’t get appointed by a primary election. That’s old enough news we can shove it under a rug.

It’s like the made up quote of Stalin saying his heart has grown cold after his wife died, but this time it’s actually real. There have been countless wars decades ago, recently ended, and ongoing, but only after the pandemic and the full on wars in Ukraine and Palestine have I seen what it means to be a liberal with my very own eyes. Supporting nazism and genocide with a bright smile.

I always believed fascist would have to much ick factor aesthetically for liberals to fully embrace it. Seeing the baying crowd at the dnc and the way the delegates mocked protestors outside was one the most chilling thing I’ve seen.

I kind of agree with you, in the sense that we should probably stop calling this fascism and instead accept that this is what 21st century liberalism is. There’s no better form of liberalism, or less violent form. This is just what liberalism does when it’s allowed to fully express itself. What existed for the thirty years after the fall of the ussr was a stunted form that had it’s growth curtailed by the need to look good compared to communism. Without communism for contrast it can now grow to it’s final form, spread it’s wings, and begin hunting for livers. “Democrat” is every bit as cursed and evil a word as “nazi”.

Liberals are just Nazis operating on a longer time scale. All undesirables will be sent into the wood chipper as long as that’s kept out of sight and out of mind.

Yeah we can argue what is or isn’t fascism definitionally and within the burgerreich but at the end of the day it is evil and it is the actual existing fascism of the world. At a certain point we’re splitting hairs on describing a political party that is supporting a genocide and the words don’t matter that much. Liberal regimes have been doing this kind of stuff for hundreds of years.

Dems are already fascist imo. They are fascist-lite, sure, but they never offered anything different. They have no radical difference from the GOP, just a watered down version of the same.

I think it was inevitable that they would end up trying to out-radicalize their competition, so long as no other ideology took hold in the party. And the desperation to win just one more election at all costs, every election, meant that no such ideology could realistically take hold, unfortunately.

The ick factor can be prevented so long as there is an in-group and an out-group, and projection paints the out-group as champions of all things bad. This prevents any significant internal reflection or criticism. It also justifies chasing the more radical fascists because - in their perspective - recruiting those fascists to the party means they can no longer be fascist, because that’s the other party’s thing. As if a party is not inherently made of people. And once(/if) the majority of fascists join the Dems, that projection will continue despite the new reality.

I don’t think there’s anything “lite” about it. Fascists have often had good PR/propaganda. The DNC convention was basically a big Nazi propaganda show, as pointed out (surprisingly) by Juan González of Democracy Now.

No more compassion, no more empathy, no more coddling their precious fuckin feelings. I fully, 100%, whole-heartedly believe Amerika deserves everything that happens to it over the next century; and when these crackers try and press me for not considering the attacks we receive to be worth weeping over, when they try to get uppity over my celebration of settler deaths, I’m going to point right back to these days.

These days, in which white Amerikans showed themselves to be no better than the plantation overseers they descended from. These days, in which Black subjects-of-empire turned their backs on not just their supposed-kinfolk, but a sovereign people currently experiencing exactly what we and the Natives experienced at the hands of the peckerwoods. These days, in which Black subjects-of-empire cooned out and traded all of us for a stepping-stone into white habitus. These Amerikans, these democrats, these peckerwoods are not human to me. I don’t wish to share ‘humanity’ as a categorization with them. I pray they die horrifically.

When I say ‘death to Amerika’, I mean it with my whole chest, and every iota of air in my lungs. I want these crackers and the coons that lick their boots on crosses from where I-95 starts to where I-10 ends; from sea to shining sea.

when Americans are eating grass and weeds to survive I will think of the times in late 1800s California when white settlers would refuse to sell to Chinese immigrant laborers, forcing them to eat grass and weeds to survive

He was forced out because he was clearly going to fucking blow it. Has nothing to do with pressure groups or policy. Just the cold calculation that US global hegemony stands at the precipice and they can’t afford another four years of Trump blowing any chance they have at holding this thing together.
