Hello comrades and welcome to the fifth improvement megathread of March! It’s a good time to review the progress from March and make some plans for April.
Some discussion ideas:
- How was your March?
+ Do you have some plans for April?

Sticked good luck
I am unsure whether it is the autism or adhd part of me (not like it matters) but I truly can’t manage to do anything unless I am invitedIn practice, I know friendship is a two way street, but why do I pretend that’s not the case and choose to simply wait around for everyone to reach out first? I’m quite a shitty villager for someone wanting a village tbh
Finally finished Sexual politics of meat, amazing book finally connected so many pieces together and I got this framework going. Intersectionality is so good
everything making sense now feminism and veganism just go hand in hand and a rejection of the death eating fascist cult of patriarchy by embracing lifeI managed to buy groceries and cook for myself this week. It’s enough to make sure I always have dinner. I will still rely on someone for lunches, but this is a good step for me toward independence.
I am considering asking a local cooperative if I can buy a large batch of their chili each week as a way to make sure I always have a nutritious lunch available. I know I like the chili, and I know they do sell batches of it for organizations hosting events. It’s just a matter of initiating contact and discussing, and then logistics.
Win list:
- nailed my interview on Thursday, they’ll tell me soon but I’m happy with how I performed.
- Benching 200 for reps now
- bloodwork done and I’m fine.
What I want to work on:
- Reading more books
- Controlling my temper. Feel like I’ve just become a chud but left-wing.
Do you have any books in mind or just in general?
As for temper, I meditate every day from Monday to Friday and I think it helps with becoming more chill. I use the free app Insight Timer, which has a bunch of guided meditations
I would say I’d love to have a new fiction book under my belt. It would be great to have an alternative escape outside of anime and vidya.
Alright, timer. Would be something worth checking out.
I am currently reading All Quiet on the Western Front and it’s a certified banger
In March I managed to keep up my reading and meditation habits. I didn’t have enough energy for running most of the time so I hope I’ll be able to go more often in April. But the weather should be nice so my main priority is to go outside and touch grass with friends regularly

Hell yeah I love spring weather
Recently finished setting up and plugging my finances into hledger (FOSS accounting program). I feel loads better because I have been winging it with my money for years now, without a clear picture of what/how I’m doing or whether everything adds up in my pay statements. Now, I know for sure where things stand, that it all checks out, and that I will catch any fishy business going forward.
This was sparked partly by the tax filing season. I couldn’t stand another year being unsure what tf I was doing and feeling not confident about my answers.
