Every single time I see a lib post like that I want to mention Biden. He and the democrats didn’t even try to pack the court in 2021-22. The continuing and growing toxicity of the GOP SCOTUS this was simple to see as connecting the dots. The entire dem plan is that you vote for them but then they don’t do anything of note so you have to keep voting for them. The sun will go supernova before they do anything.

I keep saying this, but the SCotUS ruled the president couldn’t be charged with a crime while in office. Which means Biden could have personally gone door to door with the Secret Service in tow to murder anyone he wanted. Including the conservatives on the SC, followed by any congress members who didn’t approve new court appointments.

kind of off-topic but “POTUS” and “SCOTUS” are such bullshit

pulling up “of” and “the” is weak and they should be called PUS and SCUS

I have two favorite things about the ruling One, the GOP justices pretended Biden didn’t even exist because they knew he wouldn’t do the tiniest single thing with his new powers. And - of course - they were right. Two, the libs pretended that just before an election smol bean Biden was still powerless. You can’t expect a democratic president to use extraordinary powers for good ends!

I know it was likely as science fiction but Biden could have done any number of things to encourage voting such as legalizing cannabis and cancelling student debt. The libs did what they always do - they said you gotta VOTE to stop Trump from becoming president because of course he was going to use such extraordinary powers for bad ends.

I do think it’s funny that this country’s democracy boils down to “we’re electing the person who may or may not select the true arbiters of justice who are themselves unaccountable and serve for life.” Popular will is so far removed from the equation and yet that’s not the problem.

“we’re electing the person who may or may not select the true arbiters of justice who are themselves unaccountable and serve for life.”

also remember that only like 8 of the 50 states even matter in that election, and in those states it only boils down to a few million of the absolute dumbest fucking fence sitters on the planet

someone voted against that, and while I haven’t checked it was probably one of the liberal justices based on ideology and not a conservative justice based on procedural bullshit and that absolves all liberals everywhere”

I mean Obama (D) literally refused to fill a seat leaving it to the next president Trump ®. Having a democrat party president really deosnt guarantee progressive judges.

      TRUTH NUKE! It’s 6-3, right?

      • one happened because Obama gave one to the GOP all on a silver platter.

      • RBG? She risked it all hoping Hilary would replace her in an epic moment of PWNing the conservatives…for 15 minutes.

If the dems actually weren’t controlled opposition, they’d have a 5-4 court advantage. If they weren’t afraid of fighting dirty, that 5-4 court would shamelessly be an activist court and shoot down everything chuds want.

“or stay at home” is such a funny thing to tack onto the end of your message

I guarantee 99.99% of yankees who sit out elections do not see these endless zingers liberals keep making amongst themeselves. They’re not actually messaging to anyone, it’s all phone calls inside the house, to other parts of the house. Well. And us. We see them. But we’re weirdos, who are outliers and should not be considered.

The Hillary claim is stupid; she DID win the popular vote, people DID vote for her, she lost the electoral vote; this is literally why people began talking about getting rid of the electoral college.

As for Kamala, is she some kind of mindless amoeba or something? Couldn’t she actually give the voters what we wanted? At the very least swear off Israel; was this something beyond her ability to do? It’s not as though we asked her to cure cancer or move the North American continent a little to the right (although she certainly seemed to want to move the party a little to the right); is it that she’s physically or mentally incapable of standing against Israel? Cause if so, maybe the dems should’ve put forth a candidate who COULD actually do this.

For God’s sake Kamala lost the election and she STILL stands with Israel, she is STILL choosing to embrace what lost her the election; Hillary Clinton talks at zionist conventions (an AIPAC one relatively recently if I recall correctly) where she viewed the problem as being that people were seeing what was happening on tiktok rather than that Israel was conducting a genocide. Kamala lost because she didn’t care enough to win, her priorities were elsewhere.

I even more so will not listen to people who were cheering Biden going after the Houthis, especially when the Houthis were literally the only people willing to fight to put a stop to the genocide. I haven’t forgotten the memes libs were making about ‘The Houthis are about to find out why we don’t have healthcare’.

That should have been the sign the US doesn’t have a real democracy (if you were too young to see Bush-Gore) but for some reason I still hear people say the US has the best democracy in the world and we need to export it to everyone.

A Supreme Court full of liberals is a nightmare I didn’t expect to have forced into my mind right now

At least the republicans are being open about killing America instead of keeping the hellworld going for another 75 years

Death to America means Death to America.

Hey citizen fuck you for not voting for our party, so what that we have terrible policies?! Now, an even worse guy than us gets to be in charge, you’re to blame for our loss!

I still see comments on the mainstream reddit subs making this argument but fortunately it gets called out a lot more than it did a few years ago. Pretty crazy it still gets any traction at all though. Crazy that it ever did, really.
