The cast is of Canadian actors who were relatively unknown in the United States at the time of the film’s release.[10] Each character’s name is connected with a real-world prison: Quentin (San Quentin, California), Holloway (UK), Kazan (Russia), Rennes (France), Alderson (Alderson, West Virginia), Leaven & Worth (Leavenworth, Kansas).[11]

This is Natali’s directorial debut, as of now, I don’t think we know any other of his films that hit as well, so let’s call him a one-hit wonder, at least regarding feature-length films.

As far as revolutionary horror movies go, Cube (1997) is far more underrated than it deserves to be, especially considering the fact it incited the creation of a widely popular sub-genre of horror. Director Vincenzo Natali’s debut film contained the precursors of the escape room genre while mixing in elements of social experiment horror.

Frightening Et Intense Scenes: Severe

This film has a very claustrophobic feel to it.

This film is about 7 strangers stuck in a maze of cubes equipped with traps that may be intense to some viewers.
