“Never Ending”
Expires after 13 weeks
:falcor-sadness:

Fuck, now the song is stuck in my head. FUCK FUCK FUCK FFFFFUUUUUU
Viable alternative to groceries
When you're here, you're fiscally insolventOh shit unlimited pasta buffet for 13 weeks? Tempting…
What are they banking on to keep this profitable? People being tempted by beverages, entrees and dessert? People getting so accustomed to going to the OG for dinner that they keep doing that after the deal is over? People feeling judged by the staff? People gaining so much weight in the first two weeks that they stop?
Or is there some catch in the fine print where there really are limits?
Because I could absolutely see my dad signing the whole family up and trying to go as much as possible if this were a thing decades ago.
Yeah this would be great if pasta was $10 a plate but they’re running $25 mains now. Pays off instantly
Someone was saying they’re selling a limited number of passes, so it’s just a popularity stunt/ad campaign. Maybe not really intended to allow them to profit off the people who get the passes?
I think part of it is dragging other paying customers with you since you have the pass, and the novelty wearing off way before the 13 weeks is up.
I bet the average amount of visits per pass ends up being around 10-15.
Dragging others with you had occurred to me but I’m way too poor to have thought of point 2;) but yes you’re probably right.
i ha’int shit since before the recession started

Gonna show up in baggy clothes and stuff zip locks full of baked ziti in there and walk out looking like the Nutty Professor.
We don’t have these Olive Gardens in my country, does this pasta bar also include a salad bar? Because $100 for 13 weeks of food sounds way too good to be true.
They will reveal a Nathan Fielder twist that a “pasta dish” is just the plate for the pasta and the food is extra.
the customer buys a pass, comes in, looks at the food, holds a plate, then leaves. but they get to do it every day if they want to
It’s not really a pasta bar. It’s more an infinitely refilling plate. You order a plate of pasta and a sauce from the menu, and they won’t let you get a second until you finish your first, etc. The sauce and noodle combinations are limited compared to their full menu, but it is technically limitless as long as you keep finishing off your plates. The trick being all the dishes are pasta-heavy with sauces that have very low amounts of added proteins, like a very tomato heavy bolognese, so you get full pretty quickly even if you have an American appetite.
In the normal ‘never ending pasta’ deal you get one side salad of your choice with the price, and unlimited bread sticks; I don’t know if that continues with this deal but since that’s what they hope you fill up on I can’t imagine they start limiting it now.
And they say America isn’t the greatest country on earth. Infinite gluttony perfectly calibrated within profit margins.
I did realize half way through that the more I described it, the more it seemed to fit in a really weirdly specific excerpt of Paradise Lost. I’m not quite sure which layer of hell an infinitely refilling eldritch plate of unsatisfying noodles that fill you up way too fast to really make use of the infinite refilling fits, but it’s certainly down there somewhere.

wake up babe new Ultrakill level just dropped

They always have free unlimited salad or soup and breadsticks lol its a great deal
Yeah, even if I only went there once a week, $100 for 13 meals sounds pretty good. Though maybe not in the US, I’m comparing it to Australian restaurant prices (which are absurdly high most of the time)
No that’s definitely cheap as fuck. Food at restaurants here is so goddamn expensive the last few years.
$7.70 for unlimited pasta is a good deal pretty much everywhere.
Same here, like once a week would be cheaper than most fast food
I’m not a yank but my best guess is that they give you a cheap meal (pasta) at a discount and counting on you buying beverages which is where they have the most profit.
My sibling had chicken marinating in stuff in a plastic bag in the fridge.
It looked kinda gross tbh.
I uh… I think I’m slowly starting to find meat nasty.
Take the b12 pill. Get woke on veganism.
Pasta Pete will be pleased
my first thought: oh fuck i should get this and eat it every day
probably not a great sign for OG. get it while the getting’s good I guess.
Only 10000 pasta passes will be sold. Sale starts tomorrow at 2pm eastern time US
So it’s marketing?
I got one once. It is a deep regret of mine. I gained like 30 pounds from all the butter and with tips and the time I spent hassling the staff to make pasta happen It ended up being not worth it.
I think it could be feasible for them if it is pasta and only pasta. Maybe some vegetables that were available cheaply
onions, cabbage, and a zucchino
Last time I had Olive Garden I got an IBS flairup and I felt it for a week.
