“My opponent could simply quit for no reason” is not a good argument, yet we’re seeing it more and more
They have been so used to getting everything they want for so long that they are unable to imagine a situation that doesn’t resolve in them getting their maximalist demands fulfilled.
Trade? That’s when I get to plunder the world for free.
Diplomacy? That’s when I tell people what I want and they give it to me.
War? That’s when we bomb someone back to the stone age without even getting a dent in our multi-billion dollar death machines.
Out of curiosity, what do you guys generally think of international trade and the tariffs (or lack thereof) that go with it?
Are you thinking of any specific trade agreements?
Not really. I’ll have to lurk more and find more specific questions. Thanks.
Good idea cause the views depend heavily on context, what countries are involved, and the existing trade relationships between the countries.
It mostly highlights how I view things. I’m not a huge fan of states using their citizens to fight over shit, so I have pretty reductio type views.
That’s fair, I don’t imagine most anyone here would disagree with the sentiment. But the next question is to start asking why it is that states end up fighting, right?
Liberal ideology is tough to overcome
Marvel movies have been a detriment to society.
(Unintelligible)
God the debates are going to rock
We are entering a golden era of political memes
🤣
What if Hamas quoted the tweet and said (Unintelligible) at him.

Hamas could say (unintelligible)
He did the south park style racist gibberish
I hope they both get so mad they just start saying incoherent things. We’ll have to get the entire debate the next day when their handlers correct the mistakes.
If this interview is actually his understanding of what’s happening in ukraine right now it explains a lot. He must just be surrounded by sycophants
It’s been pretty obvious that the whole admin is one big echo chamber. Anybody who expresses opinions that don’t conform to the prevailing dogma is immediately ejected.
Are they lemmy(dot)
Die-Weltworld posters?Same mindset. Browse neoliberal subreddits and that’s more or less what the opinion in Washington is.
My favorite recent example of that was a Politico article about members of the DNC becoming worried Biden won’t win re-election. I decided to wade into /r/politics for the first time in probably 5 years just to see their reaction. Every comment dismissing the polling numbers and painting the article as hyped-up nonsense for clicks. From the same people who love sharing any poll that says “X% of Republicans won’t vote for Trump”
Ha!

Having at least moderate age appropriate cognitive decline in a person who has had several strokes is a factor as well
Suggesting that an octogenarian who has suffered several strokes may be experiencing age related cognitive issues? Sounds like RUZZIA BOT SPAM to me
Biden not being able to string together a single coherent sentence is just a stutter and this is ableist, actually.
Hamas is acting in self defense. There is absolutely nothing they could do to end the genocide at this point. They’ve offered countless peace deals where Israel could get the hostages back, but Israel doesn’t want hostages, they want the land.
Seriously, on October 7th my support for Hamas was critical but over the months following that support has turned into uncritical support
You don’t understand. They could (unintelligible) and done period. Cut the malarky and think about it, bozo. I’ll beat you in push-ups.
But has he crossed your red line?
Biden: I’m not going to respond to that because I’m about to make a…anyway.
I want to switch to Israel. But on that last point, is there a danger that NATO is on a slippery slope to war with Ukraine—with Russia, as things stand?
Biden: No, we’re on a slippery slope for war if we don’t do something about Ukraine. It’s just not gonna…anyway…
Dude’s brain is swiss cheese. I keep noticing all these turns where he loses his thought and has to correct himself over and over and doesn’t remember things like the warsaw pact.
Edit: who the fuck is letting him speak to the press, omg lmao
They need to get him more drugs for real
Four More Years
Brother I thought this Was the second term, the bidenreich is neverending
It is the second term
Love to be in a country where the ghouls running it are more likely to die in office of natural causes than they are to face any sort of meaningful consequences for the horrors they have wrought upon the world.
I will still piss on their graves
As you should
Biden: Yes, we’re planning even more. We are, we are the world power. And what I inherited, as a consequence of the mistake that we made in Afghanistan is a—was not a loss in Afghanistan, excuse my cold.
how much praxis can you do as whitehouse journalist is unbelievable
we need to get mr. boils belden a white house press pass

The magic word is “please”?
I also love this bit bragging how Europe spends more money on fighting Russia than US
And in the meantime, what happened was, we were able to—and by the way, we spent a lot of money in Ukraine, but Europe has spent more money than the United States has, collectively. Europe has spent more money than the United States has, collectively Europe has spent more money in taking on Russia.
is that even true? if it’s not that makes this funnier
Maybe he’s factoring in all the money Germany lost as the war tanked its industrial sector.
It’s pretty clear that it’s not given that Israel has rejected US proposed ceasefire deal.

lmao, that reads like a straight Trump exerpt, except he’d maybe add something about how it was good for the US because they were not spending as much money
Democracy is when you have a choice between 2 racist old pricks that are unable to finish a fucking sentence.
Biden: I can do it better than anybody you know. You’re looking at me, I can take you too.
And guess what they’re, you know, they’re, they’re…what they call it? Going around the world? The Belt and Road initiative? It’s become a nuisance graveyard initiative. I’m serious. Think about it. I’ve been saying this for three years, and you guys write, “No, China’s on the right—China’s gonna break through.” Where are they, where are they breaking through? And look what’s happening in Africa.
Jealous?
You’re looking at me, I can take you too.
Lmao dumbass forgets that his multiple initiatives have gone nowhere across four continents.
For example, you may recall a resolution I introduced at the G20 that no one thought would go anywhere and it passed by providing for a railroad and oil line, uh, oil, excuse me, I misspoke. Railroad lines and transportation, all the way from Riyadh—to Saudi Arabia, to Jordan, to Israel, all through Europe and continuing.
I thought the Israel-Palestine war has kept that stalled.
You’re looking at me, I can take you too.
“I don’t know why you wouldnt write about that, the Russian army had been decimated.”
Shut the fuck up old man.
People talk about how republicans insist on being treated with kids gloves, imagine trying to criticize the press for UNDERreporting how poorly russia was doing.
Were having a nationwide identity crisis as libs and chuds try to figure out why people are talking about ukraine losing after 2 straight years of saying it’s a totally one sided conflict and russia was out of ammunition soldiers and vehicles since the beginning.
It’s particularly hilarious to see libs dismissing outlets like NYT as Russian propaganda now because they’re forced to start grudgingly acknowledging the reality.
I was really hoping that the editor’s note for that would point out that Biden was technically correct because Roman decimation only removed a 10th of their fighting forces. Instead it was just pure propaganda
We are much stronger in the Pacific than we ever were before. China, by the way, China is very concerned about it. They asked me—I’ve spent more time with Xi Jinping than any leader in the world, over 90 hours alone with him since I’ve been Vice President. And we have a very candid relationship.
You know, I don’t have any (unintelligible) He wanted to know why I was doing all these things. I said the simple reason I’m doing those things: to make sure that you don’t, that you aren’t able to change the status quo any.
Hey why are you being aggressive with us?
Capitalism jackI said the simple reason I’m doing those things: to make sure that you don’t, that you aren’t able to change the status quo any.
Operating in good faith!

Global prosperity? Sorry, I have eight donors who would hoard money less quickly if you did that
Hamas could end this tomorrow. Hamas could say (unintelligible) and done period.
“This is beyond disappointing. You are supposed to be professional transcriptionists for crying out loud! I intentionally mumbled ‘groupthatagreestobegenocidedsayswhat’ just clearly enough for this ploy to work. And this is what you print?!”
